Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 comes loaded with cosmetic upgrades and mechanical changes.It is available in six variants-LX,LXi,VXi,VXi(AGS),VXi(O),LXi(CNG) powered up by the 998cc 3-cylinder K10 engine.It develops 68PS of peak power at 6000rpm and 90Nm of peak torque at 3500rpm.The engine has been reworked at some extent to deliver an ARAI certified mileage of about 24.07kmpl. An interesting cue about the Alto K10 is that it is the second car in the Maruti Suzuki portfolio to get the popular AMT transmission that makes the new Alto K10 the most affordable automatic car for Indian market. Manual gearbox is also said to be present along with this AMT option as a standard.Regarding the exterior styling,apart from the doors and roofs which are shared with the old Alto 800,certain features like bonnet,the front fenders,the tail gate and bumpers give uniqueness to the new Alto 800.The cabin is somewhat spacious than its predecessor. Features like integrated music system with Aux-in and USB ports, internally adjustable ORVMs, a tachometer and front power windows are said to be present as the prominent ones.For safety concerns, the driver airbag has also been under provision. The price ranges between Rs 3.06 and Rs 3.82 lakhs(ex-showroom,Delhi).It is available in six color shades-Ecru Beige,Midnight black,fire brick red,blue blaze,silky silver and superior white.
