The South Korean car manufacturer, Kia plans to enter into the Indian market with three models. Sportage SUV, will be the one which is to be launched by Kia soon in the country.The SUV may offer three variants such as LX, EX and SX. It is expected to get 1975 cc,DOHC diesel engine which can produce 142 bhp of maximum power at 6000 rpm and 84 Nm of maximum torque at 4500 rpm. It will be mated to 5 speed manual gearbox. It is expected to come with disc brake at the front and drum brake at the rear. It may be equipped with 2 airbags, fog lamp, EBD, ABS and parking sensors. It will include the comfort and convenient features like power windows, rear wiper, rear defogger, folding rear seats, optional leather seats, steering controls. It will compete with the Skoda Yeti and Mahindra XUV 500 in Indian market. We can expect the price of Kia Sportage in the range between Rs.6 lakh-Rs.9 lakh.
