Ford has unveiled its Figo compact car concept which looks similar to its Ka concept. It will be available with both petrol and diesel engine options. It is expected to get 1.2 litre petrol engine option with 5 speed manual transmission. The engine can deliver maximum power output of 70 bhp and maximum torque output of 102 Nm. The petrol engine can return an overall mileage of 16 kmpl. The diesel engine option of Figo sedan will be 1498 cc,1.5-litre DV5 turbo-diesel engine. The diesel engine can generate peak power of 91 bhp and peak torque of 205 Nm.It can provide an overall mileage of 25 Kmpl. It will be equipped with Independent McPherson strut with dual path mounts front suspension and Semi-Independent twist beam, Coil springs suspension at the rear. It will include disc brake at the front and drum brake at the rear.It will be expected to go on sale by 2015. We can expect the price of the car in the range between Rs.7 lakh - Rs.8 lakh.
