Volkswagen plans to launch an updated Polo facelift by 2014 in Indian market. The updated Polo facelift will go on sale in the month of May. The car receives minor updates on its exterior. It gets mildly tweaked bumper and headlights. The differences are very few between this updated Polo and the previous car.
The company has tested 1.5 TDI engine for this facelift which can develop the power in two states of tune. The 1.5 TDI engine with power output of 89 bhp will replace the 1.2 litre three cylinder which is already employed in Polo. The same engine with power output of 104 bhp will take over the 1.2 litre 1.6 TDI engine from the Vento and it is expected this variant would get variable-geometry-turbo (VGT).
