Volkswagen, the German based automobile manufacturer has released the price details with respect to the cut in excise tax. The Company has reduced the Prices of cars such as Polo, Vento as well as Jetta.
The prices of Polo have been reduced by RS.18,000 to Rs.31,000. The prices have been reduced by Rs 14,500-Rs 27,000 for Vento and Rs 38,000-Rs 51,000 for Jetta. This price cut will be same in all states in the country. The company believed that the price cut will give benefits to its customers.
Mr. Arvind Saxena, MD, Volkswagen said, “We welcome the Government’s decision to reduce excise duty on cars and we at Volkswagen have decided to pass on the entire benefit to our customers. We hope this move will help improve the market sentiment in the automotive industry”.
