TVS plans to launch their all new Star City+ in the country. The company has been testing on their new Star City Plus and it was spotted near Chennai. TVS has also showcased the new Star City+ at the 2014 Auto Expo. It gets the features like alloy wheels, digital instrument cluster and service reminder. The spotted bike has different exhaust when compared to the model which was showcased at the 2014 Auto Expo.
The new Star City+ will include drum brake at both front and rear. TVS may offer the front disc brake as optional. It is powered by an advanced 110 cc eco-thrust engine with four speed manual gearbox. The engine can generate peak power of 8.1PS and peak torque of 8.1Nm. The engine can return an overall mileage of 83.9 kmpl. It will compete with the bikes like, Hero Passion Xpro, Mahindra Centuro and Honda Dream Yuga.
According to Mr. Arun Siddarth, General Manager, Motorcycles, TVS, “This is all new motorcycle in the cc segment. We have focused on a stylish design which will appeal to the target customer. There are several new features that have been introduced like a digital speedometer, soft touch grips, and service indicator, among other. This bike is fitted with an ecothurst engine, which essentially gives the rider the benefit of fuel economy along with power. We believe, it is surely a value for money product”.
