Tata plans to display two new variants of Nano at the 2014 Auto Expo. The two new variants are Tata Nano Twist Active and the Tata Nano AMT. The company has been working with opening tail gate since the launch of Nano. Tata plans to rectify the customer complaint on small luggage area with this opening tail gate .
Tata will offer the Nano Twist Active with the power steering and an opening tail gate. The overall weight of the Nano will be increased by around 70-80 Kg due to the opening tailgate. The overall weight may affect fuel efficiency of the car. The Tata Nano AMT, the automatic version of Nano will be the cheapest model with AMT. The AMT version of Nano is expected to go on sale by 2015.
