Tata Motors, India’s leading auto maker rolled out its new variant of its most fuel efficient sedan christened as Tata Indigo e-CS VX in the Indian market. The new car comes in both petrol and diesel versions. The CR4 diesel version is available at a cost of Rs.5,80,339 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) while the MPFi petrol version costs Rs. Rs 4,97,727 lakh respectively. The new car will compete with similar other cars like Hyundai Accent, Mahindra Verito, Toyota Etios and Maruti Swift Dzire.
The company claims that the new Indigo e-CS VX is the most fuel efficient sedan in the country with mileage of 25 km per liter. The new vehicle is powered by a 1396cc CR4 Common Rail diesel motor which delivers 69 bhp @ 4000 rpm and 14.2 kgm @ 1800-3000 rpm. The weight of the car has been lessened nearly 10 kg and enhanced the gear ratios which paves the way for excellent mileage. The Tata Indigo e-CS sports a dual-tone beige seating, a premium wood-finish centre console, rear centre armrest and a new instrument cluster with chrome rings. In addition, it holds ABS, Bluetooth connectivity and clutch-to-start.
The e-CS is designed with a 14 inch alloy wheels with low rolling resistance tyres for providing good fuel efficiency. As well as the wheel arches has been redesigned and consist of a satin finish front grille, integrated ORVMs along with blinkers which gives a good look. The launch of new Indigo e-CS VX will further strengthen the position of Indigo e-CS range of cars in the Indian market by offering a varying degree of options to the buyers.
