Suzuki plans to update their current models namely Access 125, Swish 125, GS150R and Slingshot Plus. These models will receive the cosmetic changes as well as the mechanical changes. Speaking at the launch of Lets scooter, Atul Gupta, Senior Vice President for marketing and sales told that the company plans to update all the four models – Access 125, Swish 125, GS150R and Slingshot Plus.
It also plans to introduce Suzuki Eco Performance (SEP) technology in all of its next generation models. SEP (Suzuki Eco Performance) technology leads the engine to provide better fuel efficiency. SEP technology reduces the mechanical loss of engine in order to improve the mileage.
Currently the Suzuki Access 125 and Swish 125 are powered by 4 stroke, single cylinder, air-cooled OHC engine with CVT transmission gearbox. It can generate peak power of 8.58hp at 7000rpm and peak torque of 9.8Nm at 5000rpm.The GS150R is powered by 149.5cc, air-cooled, four stroke SOHC engine with 6 speed gearbox. This engine can deliver the peak power of 13.8bhp at 8500rpm and 13.4Nm of peak torque at 6000rpm. The Slingshot Plus gets 125cc,single-cylinder engine which can produce 8.8PS of maximum power at 7000rpm.
