The new Thunderbird 500 of Royal Enfield has been launched at a price of Rs.1,65,708 (ex-showroom, Mumbai). The bike is available in three shades of Black colour. It is powered by a 499cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, four-stroke petrol engine which offers a power output of 27.2bhp and a peak torque of 4.17kgm.
The new Thunderbird features a projector headlamp, oval-section swingarm, digital-cum-analogue instrument console, hazard lamp in the switch gear, 20-litre fuel tank, blackened engine unit, bungee anchors to accommodate luggage, LED tail-lamps and a rear disc brake.
Along with the new Thunderbird 500, the company has also introduced a revised version of Thunderbird 350 at a price of Rs.1,30,086 and some bike accessories which include riding jackets, riding trousers, helmets, eye wear, motorcycle boots and gloves.
