Piaggio Vehicles, the Indian subsidiary of the Italian company,plans to increase its Porter range of vehicles.A two decades ago,the Porter series of mini pick up trucks were first introduced in Italy, when Piaggio joined hands with Japanese automaker Daihatsu. In the past, the Porter has been sold in European markets under the badge of ‘Daihatsu Hijet’.The Piaggio Porter 600 is powered by 511 cc,single cylinder engine which can generate maximum power output of 10 bhp and maximum torque of 27 Nm.Now Piaggio plans to launch its Porter 800 in India.Porter 800,the four wheel truck will be powered by 800 cc engine.
