The count down starts for the launch of new mid-sized sedan from Maruti,the Ciaz.The sedan will be offered in two variants petrol and diesel,each comprising of four variants.The petrol trim includes VXi,VXi+,ZXi+ and ZXi+ while the diesel range includes VDi,Vdi+,ZDi and ZDi+.
The petrol Ciaz would be powered by 1.4-liter K-Series four-cylinder engine that gets mated to the 5-speed manual gearbox or a CVT ,whereas the diesel variant will be powered by Fiat-sourced 1.3-liter Multijet engine producing 90 PS (88.73 bhp) and 200 Nm of torque that gets mated with an only option of a manual gearbox.
Concerning its features,the entry level models will sport out projector headlamps, keyless entry, electric-operated wing mirrors with incorporated turn indicators, fabric seats with front and rear armrests, and an audio system with USB, Aux-in and memory card support as standard fitment.
When it comes with the mid level variants,along with the aforementioned features,they also tend to get the additional features like driver-only airbag, climate control, Bluetooth functionality, steering mounted controls, reverse parking sensors, and ABS with EBD.
The top variants would comprise of advanced features like Smart play infotainment system, full leather upholstery, leather-wrapped steering wheel and 16-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels.Further the features like key less entry with start/stop button, a front passenger airbag, reverse camera, a mix of fabric and leather upholstery, and 15-inch alloy wheels have been provided as standard.
Arriving at a price range between Rs 7.5 lakh and Rs 10.5 lakh,would face a competition against its rivals that includes Honda City, Hyundai Verna, Volkswagen Vento and Skoda Rapid.
