Today Maruti launches its first AMT equipped sedan named “Ciaz” with 10 variants at the price tag between Rs 6.99 lakhs and Rs 9.8 lakhs(ex-showroom,Delhi).. Both the petrol and diesel engine options have been provided.The petrol variants are VXi,VXi+,ZXi,ZXi+.The diesel trim includes VDi,VDi+,ZDi and ZDi+ variants.Moreover automatic variants have also been added in the name of VXi Automatic and ZXi Automatic.

Petrol variants:
V – Rs 6.99 lakh
V+ – Rs 7.55 lakh
Z – Rs 8.24 lakh
Z(O) – Rs 8.59 lakh
V+ AT – Rs 8.65 lakh
Z AT – Rs 9.34 lakhs
Diesel Variants:
V – Rs 8.04 lakh
V+ – Rs 8.63 lakh
Z – Rs 9.45 lakh
Z(O) – Rs 9.80 lakh
The 1.4 litre K-Series petrol engine is being built to churn out 95 PS of power,whereas,the 1.3 litre DDiS diesel motor is about to deliver up to 90 PS of power.Both the trims get mated to 5-speed manual gearbox.The 4-speed automated transmission unit have also been provided as an option in the case of petrol trim.Thus one can claim the ARAI figures of fuel efficiency up to 20.73km/l and 26.2km/l in the petrol and diesel variants respectively.
Its prominent features include projector headlamps, keyless entry, electrically operated wing mirrors with integrated turn indicators, an audio system with USB, Aux-in and memory card and fabric seats with front and rear armrests.the top-end-variant gets the following features like leather upholstery, climate control, rear AC vents, 15-inch alloy wheels, parking sensors, driver side airbag.
There is no doubt that the Ciaz will snatch its segment leadership from its rivals that includes Honda City,Hyundai Verrna and VW Vento.One can start booking from tomorrow.
