Maruti to unveil Ertiga and its new SUV

Maruti’s first compact MPV Ertiga and its first SUV are to be globally unveiled at the 2012 Delhi Auto Expo to be held in January.Following that,the company also plans to launch the Ertiga in early next year.The all-new Ertiga will be available in both petrol and diesel engine options.

The petrol variant of Ertiga will feature an all-new K14 petrol engine which is the largest version of the K-series in which the power and torque rates are much higher.The 1372cc VVT motor of the petrol variant of Ertiga will churn out a power of 95bhp and a torque of 13kgm.The diesel variant of Ertiga holds the same Fiat-designed,1.3 litre Variable Geometry Turbo(VGT) equipped DDiS motor of SX4 which will deliver a power of 89bhp.

Mr.Mayank Pareek,Managing Executive Officer(Marketing and Sales) of Maruti Suzuki said,”As the market gets more competitive,we have to gear up for the new dynamics.We are thus showing the best we can offer.The new models like the SUV,MPV and MUV will prove to the world that we are future-ready.We need to get first-hand feedback for this.”

Regarding the new SUV,the company sources informed that the SUV segment has grown significantly in the past few years and they want to have a presence there.It will take at least two years for the model to be production-ready.The details regarding engine and other specifications will be worked out soon.The company has not decided if it will develop the planned SUV on its own or take help from Suzuki.But it will be developed in India.

Hyosung to launch GT250 in March 2012

The 2012 Hyosung GT250 is to made its debut in India in March 2012.It is expected to be priced below Rs.1.5 lakhs and will come in two variants namely Naked and Faired.It will feature a 249cc,V-twin engine delivering a power of 30bhp.It holds a lot of goodies and several safety and comfort features.The 2012 GT250 will mainly compete with Honda CBR250R and Ninja 250R.

Hyundai to launch new Sonata in early 2012

Hyundai,the Korean car manufacturer plans to launch the new Sonata in India in early 2012.The car looks more stylish and aggressive than its predecessor.It holds a lot of goodies and will be available in both petrol and diesel engine options.The 2012 Sonata is expected to be priced in the range of Rs.17.5 lakhs to Rs.20 lakhs.

Renault to launch five variants of Duster in mid-2012

Renault,the French automaker plans to launch five variants of its crossover Duster in India in mid-2012.Duster will be unveiled at the 2012 Auto Expo to be held in January.It will be available in both petrol and diesel engine options.The petrol version will be powered by a 1.6-litre petrol engine while the diesel version will be powered by a 1.5-litre diesel engine.

The diesel engine of Duster will be available in two states of tune namely an entry-level 85bhp version and a top-of-the-line 110bhp variant.The 110bhp motor is the ‘Step 4’ version of the K9K engine.Duster is based on Logan and the Indian model will be a revamped version featuring awesome interiors.

The power window switches has been moved from the front dash to the door pads for the rear passangers.The base 1.6-litre petrol variant will be available at an approximate price tag of Rs.7 lakhs.It is expected that Renault will launch the five variants of Duster at an aggressive price range of Rs.7-11 lakhs.

Suzuki launched facelifted version of GS150R

Suzuki’s 2012 GS150R has been launched with the major change in the design of the front headlight.The bike looks more sporty and aggressive with the modified headlight.The GS150R also comes with an additional colour option of white.It is powered by the same 150cc engine and is available at the same price tag.

Bajaj’s 2012 Pulsar

It is expected that the next-generation Pulsar may be launched next month in India.The bike looks aggressive with the same muscular tank at the front.The rear gets modified featuring monoshock with LED tail lamps.It will be powered by an SOHC,four-valve,twin-spark engine which will also be liquid-cooled now.Expect the new Pulsar series soon at an affordable price tag.

Skoda launched 4*2 variant of Yeti in India

Skoda’s Indian subsidiary,Skoda Auto India has launched the new 4*2 variant of its SUV Yeti at a starting price of Rs.13.20 lakhs.It will be available in two trim levels namely Active and Ambition.Skoda offers the new model with top propositions such as ESP,Hill Hold Control and Vario Flex.

Yeti 4*2 model will be the most fuel efficient SUV in the country offering an impressive mileage of 17.72kmpl.The car is powered by the same 2.0-litre diesel engine delivering a maximum power of 110PS at 4200rpm and a maximum torque of 250Nm at 1500-2500rpm.

The 4*2 variant of Yeti is an urban SUV holding abilities to tackle off-road terrain.It offers class-leading performance,safety,versatility and SUV technologies in the most manageable dimensions.The car is more elegant,spacious,powerful and well engineered.

Honda launches new Deluxe variant of Dazzler

HMSI,the Indian two-wheeler subsidiary of Honda has launched the new Deluxe variant of its 150cc bike,CB Unicorn Dazzler.Dazzler’s Deluxe variant is available in two new dual tone colour options namely Pearl Sunbeam White (with Red) and Black (with Grey).

The new variant features a new sporty and aggressive stripes on both sides of the tank and side cowl which offers a more sporty look to the bike.It will be available for sale from this month end.

The technical specifications will remain as same as the Standard variant.The engine offered to the new variant will also be the same 150cc reformed engine delivering a power of 14bhp.The engine offers a good combination of best pick-up and mileage.

The attractive features of the bike include two-tone seat,new design mirror,handle bar weights,3D emblem,digital meter and front & rear disc brake.The new Deluxe variant of Dazzler is just Rs.1000 more than its Standard variant and hence is priced Rs.66,198(Ex-showroom,Delhi).
