Ashok Leyland to reveal Stile

Ashok Leyland’s Stile will be revealed soon at the Auto Expo which will have an Italian style. The Stile will possess a 1.5-litre diesel engine similar to the Logan. The Stile will come with a refined all new nose, a new low cost interior, and a different positioning from the version of Nissan known as Evalia. Seven- and eight-seater versions are expected.

The Stile is designed with many luxurious features and will be focussed at the utility end of the market. It is expected that the safety features such as ABS and Airbags will be absent in new Ashok Leyland version. The price of the Stile is expected to be around that of the Xylo.

Price and Features of Thunderbird 500cc

The price of the Thunderbird 500cc is expected to be ten thousand higher than the Classic Chrome which makes the bike the flagship motorcycle of Royal Enfield’s portfolio.

The bike has a very impressive headlamp of about 55W, refined LED tail lamp and turn indicators. The dashboard of the Thunderbird 500cc is redesigned with a twin pod instrumentation which includes speedometer, tachometer and fuel guage with two digital tripmeters. Along with this, the footpeg-handle geometry has also been revised. It possess a rear disc brake for better safety. The bike holds an oval section swing arm which will offer good high speed stability.

The Thunderbird has a very good seating arrangement in which the seat can be opened by means of a lock in the side box. The telescopic forks on the front is about 41mm. The Thunderbird 500cc can be used as a everyday motorcycle.

Engine details of Thunderbird 500cc

The Thunderbird 500cc looks so gorgeous and fantastic which will give a big challenge to the other upcoming low cost bikes. The Thunderbird 500cc features a fuel injected UCE engine which is now coated with black powder. The engine of the bike delivers a maximum power of about 27.2Bhp and maximum torque of 41.3Nm. The fuel tank is designed with the Thunderbird logo in matt black finish.

Nissan Evalia – Specifications & Features

The specifications and features of the seven-seater Evalia are as follows:

i) Evalia measures 4.4m long and its height and width are 1.88m and 1.69m respecively

ii) Its wheelbase measures 2725mm

iii) Evalia offers a very comfort ride and handling

iv) It features strut-type suspension at the front that is mounted on a rubber insulated subframe with an anti-roll bar

v) The rear suspension of the MPV is mounted on a subframe and is a single leaf spring

vi) It features a very rigid shell which is equipped with reinforced sills and four crossmembers.

Nissan launches Evalia MPV

Nissan launches its new MPV Evalia at the Delhi Auto Expo.The MPV formerly called the NV200 is now christened as Evalia.It is powered by a 1.5-litre dCi diesel engine which may deliver 86bhp or 104bhp of power output.

The 7-seater Evalia features twin sliding doors for the middle row along with a spacious interior.The interior holds a single seat at the front and last row while the middle row resembles a bench.

The gear lever is mounted on the dashboard as such as the Honda CR-V.The seating capacity of the MPV is nearly five menbers.The production of this MPV will commence from the second half of 2012 at the Nissan’s manufacturing plant in Chennai.Price details of Evalia are not yet revealed.

Royal Enfield launches Thunderbird 500cc

Few minutes ago, Royal Enfield launches a new bike christened as Thunderbird 500cc at the Auto Expo. At the launch occassion, Siddhartha Lal, MD & CEO of Eicher motors commented Royal Enfield has grown from 50,000 to 73,000 motorcycles last year. And also he added, “The new bike will be on the market by mid 2012”.

The Thunderbird 500cc resembles like a sharpened cleaned up version of its previous Thunderbird. Eicher Motors MD and CEO Siddhartha Lal informed, “After 10 years of launching the Thunderbird, we have completely redesigned the model, especially for the urban and the long distance travellers”.

In addition, the company has announced the launch of accessories such as helmets, jackets and boots through its dealerships across the country. Venki Padmanabhan, CEO of Royal Enfield said, “The accessories will be available from the middle of the year, coinciding with the launch of the new model”.

Hyundai launches new Sonata at Auto Expo

Hyundai just now launches its new Sonata at the Auto Expo. The new Sonata is based on an all new platform. It is powered by a new Petrol Engine with both manual and auto transmission options. No diesel option is available for the Sonata at present.

The car houses a 2.4 litre engine called GDI not GDL, a direct injection, 4-cylinder inline engine with the highest power in segment which displays a power output of 201PS at 6300rpm and a maximum torque of 25.5kgm at 4250rpm.

The new Sonata has a six-speed manual gear box and it features the fluidic design philosophy. The car borrows the inspiration from the orchid flower. The side view of the New Sonata offers a neat, impressive and luxurious appearance.
