Hyundai has launched LPG and other new variants of its compact hatchback Eon.The LPG variant of Eon holds a separate 32-litre petrol and a 34-litre LPG tank and comes with an additional price of Rs.27,000.The other newly offered variants are D-Lite+, Era+ and Magna+ which all come with an extra price of nearly Rs.7,000 and also holds additional features.

i) D-Lite+ – Additional power steering

ii) Era+ – Front power windows,Central locking

iii) Magna+ – Double-Din audio system with USB interface

Price List:

i) D-Lite+ – Rs.2.98 lakhs

We first reported you about 2012 swift dzire petrol and automatic variant few days back. Now the story is complete with the swift dzire diesel specification. Swift dzire is powered by an 1.3L diesel engine developing 74bhp at 4000rpm and a maximum torque of 190Nm at 2000rpm.  With a kerb weight of 1080kg, 2012 swift dzire returns a mileage of 23kmpl. With 3.9m long, 1.6m wider and 1.5m taller 2012 swift dzire. With 2.6m wheelbase it would be much better than the current generation swift dzire. 2012 swift dzire runs on 185/65 R15 tyres.

Tata Aria’s Automatic version has been revealed at the recently held Delhi Auto Expo.Aria AT will be powered by a 16 Valve DOHC VTT Dicor engine with 2179cc engine displacement.The power output will be 155bhp at 4000rpm and the maximum torque delivered will be 400Nm at 1800 – 2700rpm.

The car will feature a G85 six speed automatic gearbox holding three modes viz., comfort mode, economy mode and sport mode.The fuel tank capacity will be 60 litres.The modified features of the car will include roof rails,a roof spoiler and a clear lens tail lamp.But anyhow,the price of the new version of Aria still remains unknown.Expect the Aria AT soon at an affordable price tag.

TVS motor company plans to launch four new products in this year in the country which include two motorcycles and two scooters.Of the two new motorcycles,one will be launched in June 2012.It will feature an 125cc engine mated to a 4 speed gear box and also holds many new goodies.The refined mature design and the comfortable riding position of the bike will make it well suit to urban road conditions.Specifically tailor made for the everyday rider, this bike is feature packed and will provide an exciting riding experience and a modern styling.The company also plans to launch a 125cc scooter in December 2012, which will deliver high fuel efficiency in typical city riding conditions.

The commercial launch of the company’s hybrid scooter Qube will be in 2013 and before that the company plans to test market 200 scooters.Qube will be powered by a 100cc four-stroke engine and an electric hub motor.The rider has the option to choose from a range of modes, depending on his or her requirement. This hybrid system charges the battery (lithium ion) when the brakes are applied and utilizes this power whenever required, therefore making the most efficient use of the energy available. In addition, this two-wheeler conserves energy when the vehicle halts at a traffic signal or is in standstill condition by halting the power source.

The scooter also comes with the additional option of electric only with zero fuel (petrol) consumption and zero emissions and can be used for short trips. There is also an engine only mode, which can be used when the battery charge is very low. The TVS Hybrid Scooter also has the options of Hybrid Economy Mode and Hybrid Power Mode. In the economy mode, the engine and electric motor run as per the programmed strategy while in the power mode, both engine and electric engage together for better acceleration.

This green technology delivers significant emission reduction and improved fuel economy in city traffic driving with 35 % reduction in CO2 emission, 30% HC + NOx reduction and an increase of 35% in fuel economy. The TVS Hybrid Scooter is therefore expected to deliver a fuel economy of around 70 kilometers in typical city riding conditions.This product is proof of TVS Motor Company’s unwavering commitment to development of green technologies that will lead to substantial reduction in CO2 levels.

M&M plans to launch its mobility products range in India during 2012-2013.This statement was declared today by the company at the Auto Expo.Mahindra will launch SsangYong Rexton,Mahindra Reva NXR,Maxximo passenger van,Stallio,a 49 tonne tractor and a 25 tonne construction tipper.The Duro DZ scooter will also be launched nationally.

The most important launch of the company will be SsangYong Rexton SUV which is to be launched before the month of October/November of this year.Along with this SUV,Mahindra’s compact SUV and Reva NXR are also planned to launch by the company.

Maxximo Passenger Van is expected to be launched in the first quarter while the sub 4-metre Verito would be launched in the last quarter of FY 2012-13.In 2013,Stallio motorcycle will be re-introduced and its premium scooter Duro DZ will see its national launch.Mahindra Navistar Automotive Ltd (MNAL) will launch its 49 tonne tractor,the 25 tonne construction tipper in addition to its range of buses 32 and 40 seater. MNAL will also introduce its Integrated Trucking Solutions in the form of applications on their trucks.
