Bajaj is in now in the plan to launch the 100cc version of its Boxer bike. The recently launched Boxer BM150 was not a great success to Bajaj due to its poor styling. Hence, the company moves to the new Boxer BM100 which is expected to offer a higher mileage than the BM150 at a low cost. However, the three positive factors of Boxer namely the frugality, cheap spares and the ruggedness are seemed to be retained in the Boxer BM100 motorcycle. Other details of the bike are not known. We can soon expect the new Boxer BM100 of Bajaj to hit the Indian roads. Stay tuned!

Honda to restart deliveries of Brio and Jazz
The famous Brio and Jazz models of Honda are now ready to knock the doors of its interested buyers. Yes! Honda is to restart the deliveries of Brio and Jazz from this February and the bookings of the cars are to be closed next month.
The company was hardly struggling with the shortage of components due to the last year’s Tsunami and Earthquake of Japan followed by the floods in Thailand. Hence, it starts its path to increase its sales by opening a second facility at Tapukara, Rajasthan which is also almost ready for production.
Regarding this, Mr. Jnaneswar Sen, Senior Vice-President (Marketing & Sales) of HSCI reported, “We have resumed two shift operations from February 15. We will have production of 370 cars per day from today and from next week it will ramp up to 440 units per day”.
Sen also said, “We are confident to achieve peak production output in March 2012. Honda has taken all the necessary recovery actions to normalize production situation with critical components now being sourced from Japan & China”.
LML plans to launch Sensation AT
LML is planning for the launch of its Sensation scooter with an automatic transmission which was first launched only with a four speed manual transmission. The Sensation scooter of LML looks almost similar to the Piaggio Vespa. It may be powered by a 125cc or a 100cc engine of either Piaggio or Daelim. The Sensation Automatic is likely to compete with Mahindra Duro, Honda Activa and Suzuki Access.
Volkswagen to launch a new small car in India
Volkswagen plans to launch a small car in India, China and Brazil around next year based on its Up model. The new small car of VW will be more affordable and less expensive at a price of about Rs. 4 lakhs. It will be available in both petrol and diesel engine options featuring a petrol engine of 800cc and a 1.2-litre diesel engine. Other details of the car and its unveiling are not yet announced. Its major competitors would be Hyundai Santro Xing and Maruti WagonR in our country. Stay tuned for more details of Volkswagen’s new small car.
Honda to launch CBR250R facelift in this month
HMSI is ready to launch the face-lifted version of the popular CBR250R sports bike by the end of this month. The 2012 CBR250R will be Rs.1500 more than its predecessor and will be available in a new colour combination.
Mr. Naresh Rattan, Vice-president, Sales and Marketing, HMSI informed that the company was due to launch the CBR250R shortly in the market. He said that the new bike has gone under production by the middle of this month.
He added that there is no dearth of demand for premium priced bikes in India despite a broader slowdown in demand for the commuter bikes witnessed by a few players.
Rattan also said that there have been issues relating to components shortage due to the recent floods in Thailand which has impacted local production. This matter is being sorted out before they launch the new version.
It is expected that the face-lifted CBR250R will also toughly compete with the recently launched Pulsar 200NS and Duke 200.
Honda to launch CBR150R in March
Honda will be launching its new CBR150R sports bike next month in India. The bike was already showcased at the last month Auto Expo. It will toughly compete with the recently launched KTM Duke 200. The CBR150R is powered by a 150cc engine and looks almost similar to the company’s CBR250R model. Priced at Rs.1,15,000, the CBR150R will also take on its rival Yamaha R15.
The company plans to place the new CBR150R ahead of Yamaha R15 and slightly lower than the KTM Duke bike. Sources informed that the CBR150R had received strong response from the visitors and hence the company hopes to sell more than 3,500 units of the CBR150R every month after its launch. The bike will be fully built in India.
Nissan to launch Evalia MPV in August
The Evalia MPV of Nissan will be launched in the month of August. The seven-seater Evalia will come only in diesel engine option. Powered by a 1.5-liter turbo diesel engine with state of tune, the Evalia will deliver either 85bhp of power and 200Nm of torque or 105bhp of peak power and 240Nm of maximum torque. Nissan offers Evalia with a major advantage of sliding doors. Expected at a price tag of Rs.8 to 10 lakhs, the Evalia will toughly compete with Xylo, Innova and Tata Grande.
Toyota launches Corolla Altis AT
Toyota has launched a new petrol variant of Corolla Altis at a price of Rs.13.76 lakhs (Ex,Delhi). The new variant of Altis has been christened G(HV). The G(HV) features the same 1.8-litre petrol engine mated to a seven-speed CVT automatic transmission. The price of G(HV) is nearly Rs.1.23 lakhs lesser than the top-end variant which also holds the same 7-speed CVT automatic transmission. But anyhow, due to this price reduction, the new G(HV) variant lacks some of the features which include electric seats, xenon lamps, leather upholstery and a few more.
Suzuki Swish-125 – Price
Suzuki has launched the new version of its Access-125 scooter christened the Swish-125. The price of this new scooter is Rs.47,865 (Ex-showroom). It is powered by the same engine of Access 125. The powerful Swish-125 looks modern and features a 6-litre petrol tank. It also comes with a box to place the helmet.
Sources informed that the vehicle was priced ex-showroom at Rs.47,865 with a three-month waiting time, but all those who had booked for the Access, would be given a choice of taking this new vehicle variant as it has the same engine with a 50 kmpl mileage.
