Nissan to bring Infiniti
Buoyed the success of Nissan products and seeing the growth of luxury cars in india. Nissan plans to bring in its premium brand infiniti range of super cars to India. Nissan Motor Company is surveying the Indian market for the launch of its ‘Infiniti’ range of super-luxury cars, said Mr Gilles Normand, Corporate Vice-President — Africa, Middle East and India, Nissan Motor Company. As expected, Infiniti range of cars will be imported as CBU initially till the threshold volume post which nissan may look at assembling infiniti cars in india.
Toyota to launch Lexus
Toyota is seriously mulling to bring in Lexus brand to India and grab a share in fastly growing luxury car market. Hiroshi Nakagawa, MD of Toyota Kirloskar Motors, said the company was considering a series of new initiatives as it expands in India. “We are studying, and now more deeply considering to bring Lexus to India,” Nakagawa said. “India is a key focus market for Toyota and we are looking at ways to increase our footprint as well as product offerings,” said Sandeep Singh, deputy MD (sales & marketing).
