S-Cross concept is the one out of two new global models from Maruti. The car maker has just unveiled this S-cross concept SUV along with Ciaz concept.

The new concept S-Cross has been developed on the basis of a brand new platform and it is said to provide one of the largest luggage storage areas in its segment. Since Maruti’s SX4 has not reached the maximum success, the new concept S-Cross is believed to change that and it is the latest of mid-size crossover packed with lot of thrilling and exciting features. The S-Cross comes with both petrol and diesel engine in which the oil burner is powered by a turbocharged 1.6 litre unit generating the maximum power of 117 BHP and maximum torque of 320 NM. Similarly, the petrol engine is employed with a 1.6 litre engine producing the power output of 117 BHP and 156 NM of torque output. The engine may be mated to the front wheels or all four wheels through a six speed manual transmission or a CVT ensuring comfortable and convenience ride.
