India’s largest car maker Maruti has all set to a new record in its innings to get placed in the Guinness Book of World Records. To mark the 5th anniversary of Swift [images], the company there will be a large gathering of Swift in the parade of cars during May 30. the owners of Swift cars will be specially invited at Gurgaon, Mumbai and Chennai to have a gathering 500 Swifts in each of these locations. Martui is set to break the record made by Mazda which gathered 249 cars of a single brand. Maruti’s Swift is the lone car in this segment (A2) which has a sale of one lakh cars for the second consecutive year. In all these five years of its existence Swift saw a sale of 4.5 lakh cars in India alone. The monthly production of Swift in India is 12000 which includes diesel version.
