Mahindra has unveiled its AMT version of Quanto, Quanto auto shift today. The Automated Manual Transmission (AMT) technology is an important feature of Quanto auto shift. THe AMT technology is as same as in Maruti Celerio.The AMT or semi automatic gearbox can eliminate the manual clutch by making gear shifting. AMT is lighter than automatic gear boxes. So the overall weight can be minimized which leads to better fuel efficiency.
