Similar to Suzuki, Maruti don’t want to be known as a small car maker. In 2007, Maruti Suzuki launched SX4 and has already grabbed the leadership position in A3 segment. With the launch of new swift Dzire Maruti wishes to extend its lead in the segment. Though Maruti Suzuki has launched seven new models in last three years, the expectations from India’s largest manufacturer is always high. We spoke with Mr.Shashank Srivastava Commercial Business Head, Maruti Suzuki and he speaks about Maruti’s future products in this interview. He told us that Maruti has no immediate plans to bring Jimny Wagon to India. He also explained the contribution of Indian designers to cars like swift dzire and A-star.
