Hyundai’s new small car codenamed HA or H800 will be called as Eon. Eon will be powered by an 800cc engine developing 50bhp. Eon follows the santro’s tall boy design and earlier termed as Tata nano competitor. However now it seems eon would be pitted against the mighty alto. Hyundai may eventually phase out the santro as the more stringent safety / emission norms kicks in with Eon. Spy pictures of eon has been doing rounds in internet for long time. The design of eon is futiristic and inspired from Hyundai’s i-series cars. The pronounced headlamps as seen in the picture dictates us hyundai doesn’t want to project the eon as low cost car instead an entry level car. The styling is more upmarket. Hyundai may export eon to other countries as well from India. Eon could be priced between Rs2.5 to Rs3.5 lakhs. Stay tuned for more details on Eon
