Hyundai’s hot selling popular hatchback Grand i10 is now available with a CNG-petrol dual fuel option. The company has not launched the CNG variant of Grandi10 officially but the CNG kit is now available as a dealer-level fitment. The car wears the ‘Sportz NGV’ badge at the rear. It does not reveal any warranty details of CNG kit.
The CNG kit works on the Grand i10’s 1.2 litre kappa petrol engine which can deliver maximum power output of 82 bhp and maximum torque of 114 Nm at petrol mode. When running on CNG mode, the maximum power output of the engine will be 75 to 78 Ps. It is available with 5 speed manual gear box option and also 4 speed automatic gear box.
The switching between the petrol and CNG mode is done with the help of a dashboard mounted switch. The CNG tank is located in the boot which occupies the luggage space of the car. The Grandi10 is also sold with 1.1 litre-3 Cylinder CRDI turbo diesel engine option. The diesel engine can deliver the maximum power output of 70 bhp and maximum torque of 160 Nm which is mated to 5 speed manual gearbox as standard.
