The 4-day CII Auto Show South 2010, slated to be inaugurated on 13th instant, will be a crucial juncture for the vehicle makers. The show may be a good forum to display new ranges in two wheelers and 4-wheelers. Honda, for its part, is introducing a bike as many other auto makers are muscling their strength to win hearts of the visitors. The Show is a joint venture among Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers. Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India and the Federation of Automobile Dealers Association of India.
CII indicated that the show is intended to focus the southern region market comprising latest cars, bikes and SUVs besides car accessories, video systems and GPS navigation schemes. Participating companies include the global leaders – General Motors, Skoda Auto, Honda, Fiat, Mercedes, Tata Motors and M&M. the show is planned as a good show for the South India to have a clear idea about the automobile industry. Each day would be a special day, like the inaugural Thursday (13/05/2010) being Media day, for the visitors. Other displays will include a bike from Honda Motorcycles. Etios will find its entry from Toyota Kirloskar Motor’s Toyota Q World Booth.
The concept is to concentrate on Quality Revolution. Other vehicles at display would include Hybrid Prius [images], New Prado Diesel, Land Cruiser [images] and Fortuner [images]. In the meantime, the second phase of Toyota Q World is to hit the global scene in 15 cities packed with engagement events and other entertainment. The truck master M&M is displaying a 4 x 4 track while a go-karting event is scheduled by JK tyres. A safety ride show is organized by Honda Motorcycles and finally, for lovers of car there will be a vintage car display.
