If Yamaha can produce R1 inspired 150cc bike for Indian market, then why cannot Honda. If reports are to be believed Honda will come out with a 125cc bike called CBF Stunner (codenamed KWFA) that has the DNA of legendary CBF. We already informed you Honda is producing a sporty version of Shine. The CBF stunner could be the Honda’s attempt to attract young customers who love performance and style. In a similar bid, Bajaj had earlier announced it would launch sporty version of XCD 125cc. Coming back to CBF Stunner, Honda CBF models are a series of sport oriented motorcycles with traditional styling. The series includes CBF250, CBF500,CBF600N, CBF600S and CBF1000. Honda’s CBF stunner would produce a peak power of in the range of 10-12bhp and would compete with upcoming Bajaj new XCD sprint and the TVS new flame. Honda’s CBF stunner will be mated with 5 speed transmission.
Honda might also come with a Fuel Injected CBF Stunner (codenamed KWFF) soon after the launch of carburreted CBF Stunner. For the CBF Stunner FI, Honda will use the world’s smallest 125cc Fuel Injection (FI) engine which powers the Glamour Fuel Injection (FI). But unlike the Glamour FI the new CBF Stunner will be priced competitively and will come at ex-showroom price of Rs52000. CBF Stunner would hit the showrooms in August 2008 by the time XCD sprint would also be launched.
