Honda plans to launch commuter segment bike in Dream series. The new Dream bike will be the third in that segment. The company has been working on this new bike which will be added to its Dream segment. Currently Dream Yuga and Dream Neo are the available bikes in that segment.
The company plans to set up a new plant by investing Rs.1100 crore at Ahmadabad in Gujarat. It will be the fourth plant of Honda Motorcycles and Scooter India’s (HMSI) fourth plant. It is expected to be operational in 2015 with a capacity to build 12 lakhs vehicles per year.
The new Dream series will get a refreshed 109 cc, single cylinder, 4 stroke, air-cooled, Spark Ignition (SI) engine. The engine can churn out maximum power output of 8.4 PS. The existing bikes of Dream series have this same power train option. It will include alloy wheels, advanced body design with stylish graphics, tubeless tyres, instrument console and also the disc brake option. It will hold a lot of innovative features. The new Dream series bike will be launched by mid 2014. We can expect the price of this bike in the range between Rs. 49,155 – Rs.52, 841.
