Ford has partnered with Vicky.in to promote safe driving habits through their certified program called Driving Skills for Life (DSFL). The program was introduced in 2003 in the US, primarily as a training tool for teenagers. Since then, Ford has adapted the programme for various countries. DSFL is especially relevant in countries that have many first time drivers, like India. Ford India began DSFL in India about two years ago, and since then has trained more than 2,000 participants so far, including the Delhi Traffic Police, Chennai Traffic Police, Rotary Clubs and MCRT, College students, fleet owners and dealers.
Indian roads are one of the most unsafe roads because of the driving conditions, road conditions and lack of awareness of good driving practices. DFSL is a social initiative which involves focused workshops to polish the driving skills of the drivers who already have a valid driving license or driving permit. The Ford experts at this session share some insights on safe driving techniques, habits which are good for the drivers as well as pedestrians. At the same time, the session also gives you tips to take better care of your car and tips on driving more economically, which is quite useful as the fuel prices in India are at their all time high. This session is free of cost and requires the attendees to have a valid driving license.Vicky.in cordially invites all our readers, Facebook Page followers, fans to this session in huge numbers.
