Fiat,the Italian manufacturer has been developing a cross variant of Punto which is likely to be called Punto Avventure. The Punto Avventure has been spotted testing near the company’s factory at Pune.
Punto Avventure looks similar to the Punto car, except the tail gate. The company has relocated the car’s spare wheel on the tail gate. It will offer a new bumper with a Swing arm to Support the spare wheel on tail gate.
It is expected to get 1.3 litre, 4 cylinder, Multijet diesel engine which is coupled with a 5 speed gear box. Currently Fiat offers this engine with 75 Ps and 90 Ps two states of tune. It gets the similar plastic cladding and roof rails as Volkswagen Polo Cross. Fiat Punto Avventure is likely to be displayed at the upcoming 2014 Auto Expo.
