Spark gets dearer…
GM India today announced a fabulous offer for its hot hatch – Chevrolet Spark. Spark is competing with Maruti Suzuki’s Zen Estilo and Hyundai’s santro. Chevrolet Spark’s base model would now be available for Rs 2.79 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), a discount of Rs 53,000 over the existing price of Rs 3.32 lakh. The good news is General Motors India (GMI) is offering a this discount on all variants of Chevrolet Spark. The discounts will be offered to those who book their car from October 12 through October 22. This offer is valid for all bookings made on those ten days, even if the delivery of the car occurs later. The offer announced today is in addition to attractive financing schemes already being offered by GM India, including a 100 per cent funding and low down payment offer. The Chevrolet Spark also comes with a three-year/100,000-km standard warranty, which is an industry first in the mini-car segment, and a service interval of 5,000 km or six months, whichever comes first. Prices of Spark will be back at the pre-offer levels on October 23. Competitors, however, are not planning to cut prices to match GM’s offer. Hyundai, Maruti Suzuki and Tata Motors have said they have no plans to cut prices. Nearly 10,000 units of the Spark have already been sold in India after its launch in April this year.
