Bajaj’s small car will be unveiled on January 3rd,2012 at the Auto Expo.The original concept of the car was shown at the 2008 Auto Expo.The car will be showcased at Pragati Maidan.Based on an all-new platform,the car is likely to be first launched as a commercial vehicle.
Sources informed that the Bajaj Small car is more of an upgraded three-wheeler rather than a scaled down hatchback and draws heavily on Bajaj’s expertise and experience in the three-wheeler segment.
This ultra-low-cost small car of Bajaj will be featuring path-breaking fuel efficiency and hence the price tag of the car is expected to be higher than Nano.As per an agreement,Bajaj has an option of marketing under Renault brand and hence Renault will be particularly interested in the Bajaj small car.
