Cayenne – second generation, costing between Rs65.82 lakh – Rs1.27 crore is the new launch from ermany car maker Porsche. This adds to the already existing models – Cayenne (Rs65.82,000), Cayenne S(Rs78,62,000), Cayenne Turbo (Rs1,27,10,000), Cayenne Diesel (Rs59,22,000) and Cayenne S Hybrid(Rs75,46,000). These cars are meeting some good response from the Indian customers and bookings for 70 units are already on, said the company’s Director for India. He elaborated that the new model exhibits exact balance of powerful driving dynamics and elegant in design. He expressed the belief that this model
may prove to be an excellent trendsetter due to its efficiency. To deal the cars in India the company has two dealers currently and these are to be increased to 5-Chandigarh, Chennai, Kochi, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad- in another six months .
Cayenne Diesel is known for its 240bhp 3-lit V6 and has the capacity of reduced-20%- fuel consumption that is from 9.3 – 7.4 lit per 100 km. while Cayenne S Hybrid comes in more sophisticated manner executing complete hybridization and assures fuel consumption level of 8.2 / 100kms. Other models too display the equivalent fuel consumption – Cayenne S having 4.8 lit V8
powertrain, Cayenne Turbo has the maximum torque capacity 500 bhp 4.8 lit V8 biturbo exhibits 11.5 lit/100km which indicates a reduction of 23%. The company’s MD for Middle East said that Porsche is on the verge of giving out much efficient cars for total reduction of carbon dioxide- 26%- and fuel consumption reduction by 23%. He said Porsche is intended to focus a new
horizon in MUV segment.
