KTM, the Austrian manufacturer plans to provide custom engine maps officially. KTM will be the first manufacturer to offer engine maps in the country. These maps will be certified by the KTM Austria. The company will release two maps for its Duke 200 as well as Duke 390. Out of two one engine will be used for City riding and another one will be used for performance riding.
KTM bike riders will contact the service centre in order to install the map. At a time only one map will be effective on one bike. The switching between city riding and performance riding will be done with the help of experts from KTM service centre.
The Austrian manufacturer also plans to set up a road side assistance program – Orange assist. It offers 24 hours service to the KTM bike owners. Service includes fuel delivery and medical assistance over 100Km from the KTM centre. A flat bed pick up van will be arranged in case of break down. We can expect the launch of RC390 and RC200 by mid-2014.
