Hero ZIR will be launched only in the first half of 2015-2016
You read it first at vicky.in! Hero today unveiled its first 150cc scooter ZIR. ZIR will come in two variants, flat floor board model and european style step thru model. Zir scooter comes with a powerful liquid cooled, 4-stroke 2 valve OHC engine producing a peak power of 10.5KW and 12.7Nm of peak torque.
Zir comes air forced dynamic cooling air system that maintains an apt temperature of liquid coolant during long rider. Zir also gets integrated hydraulic braking system like the Honda’s CBS (combined braking system) – combining hydraulic disc brakes at the front and drum at the rear.
Zir gets fuel tank that can hold 9 litres of fuel and Hero claims the zir is capable of reaching a maximum speed of 110kmph.
Hero Zir 150cc scooter features include european style step seat, sporty front protection screen, dual projector head lamp, integrated pillion handle and combo of digital-analog console. Like the dash and dare scooters from Hero, Zir also gets mobile phone charging and a special EFI system (exclusive of Zir scooter) that will communicate with smart phone for all engine/riding information through ride-stat app. Zir european style variant scooter model includes cowl mounted console and large protector screen.
Zir runs on 110/90 13 tubeless tyres and 130/70 -113 tubeless tyres at the rear. A 225mm disc brake at the front and 220mm disc brake at the rear ensures the rider effective control over the zir. With a 9 litre fuel capacity and 139kg of kerb weight and electric start, it could be a ideal scooter of alpha male.
The length of zir 150cc is 2085mm, width is 745mm, height is 1385mm and ground clearance is 155mm
