Renault,the French automaker plans to launch five variants of its crossover Duster in India in mid-2012.Duster will be unveiled at the 2012 Auto Expo to be held in January.It will be available in both petrol and diesel engine options.The petrol version will be powered by a 1.6-litre petrol engine while the diesel version will be powered by a 1.5-litre diesel engine.
The diesel engine of Duster will be available in two states of tune namely an entry-level 85bhp version and a top-of-the-line 110bhp variant.The 110bhp motor is the ‘Step 4’ version of the K9K engine.Duster is based on Logan and the Indian model will be a revamped version featuring awesome interiors.
The power window switches has been moved from the front dash to the door pads for the rear passangers.The base 1.6-litre petrol variant will be available at an approximate price tag of Rs.7 lakhs.It is expected that Renault will launch the five variants of Duster at an aggressive price range of Rs.7-11 lakhs.
