Interceptor is one of the 650cc motorcycles of Royal Enfield. The iconic Indian two-wheeler manufacturer produced the Interceptor 700, Interceptor 692 and Interceptor 750 motorcycle models between 1960 and 1970. The flagship motorcycle gets powered by a 648cc air-oil cooled parallel-twin engine that develops 47hp @ 7100rpm of peak power and a peak torque of 52Nm @ 4000rpm. This engine is the company's most powerful mill. Power to the rear wheels get transmitted via a 6-speed Manual gearbox. The motorcycle employs a 41mm forks suspension at the front and twin coil-over shocks at the rear, disc brakes at both the ends, digital spark ignition along with LED head and tail lights. In addition to this flagship model, the company is also said to be working on a 400cc engine, which will be tuned to develop 40Nm.
