Rebel 300, the upcoming Royal Enfield 350 rival from Honda Motorcycles is likely to enter India as an indigenously developed product for the country. As like the International markets, the Indian Rebel is also expected to be powered by a single-cylinder, four-stroke, liquid-cooled PGM-FI engine with displacement of 286cc. The engine gets mated to a 6-speed transmission gearbox churning out peak power and torque figures of 27bhp and 24Nm respectively. The highlight features of the bike include Hydraulic Disc brakes at both the ends, optional ABS, telescopic front forks suspension and dual shock absorbers at the rear suspension along with 16-inch alloy wheels. Design wise, the Rebel is a retro-style motorcycle which is built on a lightweight trellis frame. The bike gets a single round LED headlamp and there will be many custom options made available with this motorcycle. Rebel 300 gets 130 / 90 – 16 tyres up front and 150 / 80 – 16 inch tyres at the rear. Expect the bike to be launched within a year at a price tag of around Rs.2.2 lakhs.
