The stylish two wheeler manufacturer Honda showcased its new Africa Twin bike at the Auto Expo Event 2016 held at Greater Noida. It is powered by a 998cc, liquid cooled, four stroke, 8 valve parallel twin with 270 degree crank and uni-cam engine producing high power of 70kW at 7500rpm and high torque of 98Nm at 6000rpm mated to a six speed MT. The vehicle gets a steel semi double cradle type with high tensile strength steel rear subframe which has been designed with an overall length of 2335mm, width of 930mm and height of 1475mm. It gets an excellent braking system in which the front is fitted with a 310mm dual wave floating hydraulic disc with aluminium hub and radial fit 4-piston calipers and sintered metal pads. Likewise, the rear brake comes with a 256mm wave hydraulic disc with two piston caliper and sintered metal pads along with dual channel ABS off switch. Soon, the new Honda Africa Twin will enter into Indian market at attractive cost.
