Mahindra which entered the indian motorcycle market with the launch of stallio and mojo has run into trouble. The commuter motorcycle Stallio backed by bollywood superstar Aamir khan has failed to create enthusiasm among buyers. Stallio is said to report lower sales and fails to stand against the biggies like Bajaj discover 100cc, Hero Honda Splendor and Honda Twister.
The lower sales of stallio is attributed to its premium pricing. Indian motorcycle buyers has been brand conscious and is not known to welcome any radical changes. Mahindra may have to think harder to break the mould.
