Solio , a stretched wheelbase hatchback of Maruti was recently spotted in India, close to the MSIL headquarters in Gurgaon , indicating that it is indeed being considered for India. We are unsure whether it is getting used as as a testing mule or for random engine testing. Though Solio seems to be similar to that of Suzuki palette, both model possess WagonR platform as the underpinning. To the existing 2-row WagonR, spacious 7-seat arrangement has been added to it in a compact way ,through reduction of copious leg room of 5-seat model, for luxurious and comfort purpose. Enhancing Solio’s rich features through remote control electric sliding door adds to user-friendliness. Solio uses the K12B engine, which is a 1.2 liter-4 cylinder petrol motor that outputs 85 Bhp of power and 114 Nm of torque, powering the likes of the Swifts and Ritz hatchbacks. If launched in India, the Suzuki Solio is expected to be positioned between the WagonR and the Ertiga.
