Maruti Suzuki plans to roll out the SX4 replacement which is code named as YL1 in late 2014.The YL1 which will replace the SX4, is based on the Ertiga platform
Maruti Suzuki YL1 gets the engine systems which are already employed on the Ertiga. A 1.3-litre Multijet diesel can produce maximum power of 89 Bhp and maximum torque of 200 NM which will be mated to five speed manual gearbox. and a 1.4-litre K14M petrol can develop maximum power and torque of 94 Bhp and130 NM respectively which may be mated to an automatic transmission

It gets features like push button start, keyless entry, puddle lamps, twin AC vents at the rear, leather seats,electric folding rear view mirrors,15 inch alloy wheels etc. We can expect that the YL1 may be priced between Rs 7-9 lakh

Kawasaki to launch Ninja ZX-10R and Ninja ZX-14R, two new super sports motorcycles by this September in India. The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R gets 998cc, inline-four engine which is mated to six speed gear box. It can produce 194 Bhp of power and maximum torque of 112 Nm. It comes with S-KTRC (Sport-Kawasaki Traction Control) System and ABS. It also gets 310mm front petal dual discs and 220mm rear single petal discs

The ZX-14R gets a 1.4-litre engine which can develop maximum power of 195 Bhp and maximum torque of 155 Nm.This engine is mated to six speed gear box. It includes adjustable front suspension, Uni-Trak gas charged rear suspension which can be fully adjustable and petal shaped front disc brakes
These two bikes to be imported as Completely Built Units (CBU) in the country. We can expect the price of ZX-10R is Rs 15 lakh and ZX-14R will be priced around Rs 17 lakh.

Yamaha, India has rolled out its Special Edition of FZ series bikes. The Special Edition FZ-S and Fazer get the existing same 153cc, single cylinder air cooled engine system which is mated to 5-speed gearbox. It can produce maximum power of 14 Bhp at 7500 rpm and maximum torque of 13.6 Nm at 6000 rpm.
The Fazer will be priced at Rs 79,485 and the price of FZ-S will be Rs 74,385.

Greatwall Motors,China’s largest SUV maker plans to enter into the Indian market by next year.It chose Pune in Maharastra for its plant and it will begin the production by 2016.
The company official said, “Great Wall has also taken into account Chinese government-owned Beiqi Foton Motor Company’s decision to set up its commercial vehicles facility at Khed near Pune with a cumulative investment of Rs 1,676. The proximity factor is expected to help both the companies achieve back-end synergies”

“The company will enter the market next year.It will be the first bona fide Chinese company to come here. They see great potential in India especially because of the high demand for SUVs here.”Greatwall Motors will participate in Delhi Auto Expo by next year.

SsangYong Motor has unveiled the new Korando C which is a premium Urban Leisure Vehicle(ULV).It will be available in all its dealerships across Korea. This same vehicle also will be rolled out in India by next year

‘Urban Adventure’ is the brand slogan for this new Korando C which comes with three variants.It offers both manual and automatic transmission. Automatic transmission offers Eco and Sport mode.The driver can switch between these two modes. Sport mode provides greater acceleration and the Eco mode is for fuel saving and it gives fuel economy of 12.8 kmpl. The manual transmission gives the fuel economy of 17.2 kmpl. It comes with three years/60,000 km warranty for general parts and body and it gets five years/1, 00,000 km warranty for power train

Korando C gets features like projector headlights with a black bezel and LEDs, a 7-inch multimedia touchscreen with navigation and a sound system by Harmon/Kardon and also 3D map, black box, front and rear skid plates, side steps, tyre pressure monitoring system and a washer fluid heater. It gets the grill colour as same as the colour of vehicle body

Maruti Suzuki to launch its small car with 800cc diesel engine which is codenamed as YL7.This YL7 is based on A-Star’s platform.It will be the cheapest and smallest car in the country.This engine could also power the Maruti Wagon R.

The company official said, “The diesel engine plan is on the speed lane for Maruti. While the petrol model of the YL7 will be launched first around the Auto Expo, the start of production for the diesel variant is for later part of the year. The YL7 will be exported from India to various markets and, in some, will also be sold as the new Alto”

Initially this car will be launched with a 1.0-litre petrol engine and then it will be rolled out with the 800cc diesel engine option by the end of next year.

Hyundai to unveil its next generation i10 at Frankfurt Motor show which is to be held on September 10.The Grand i10 is based on fluidic design language which gives sporty look to the car. We can expect the cost of this car is Rs 4 lakh for the petrol variant and Rs 5 lakh for its diesel variant.

Hyundai revealed 2014 i10 for Europe .It offers two versions for its new i10.The Indian model is called as Grand i10 and another one is 2014 i10 for Europe

The major difference is the Grand i10 gets a squared-off roof for greater head space in the second row, while the Euro i10 gets a style-driven tapered roofline and an upswept belt-line and D-pillar.

The 2014 Euro i10 will get the 1.0-liter 3-cylinder petrol and the 1.2-liter Kappa2 petrol engine. It includes LED daytime running lights. The European model gets features like a heated leather steering wheel, keyless entry and cruise control,six airbags, electronic stability control and a tyre pressure monitoring system. The 2014 Euro i10 will be displayed in the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show.

Hyundai plans to launch its new models namely Grand i10 and new Eon to take on Maruti.
The second generation Grand i10 which is codenamed as BA will get both 1.1 litre U2 diesel engine and 1.2 litre Kappa petrol engine. It comes with features like a cooled glove box, auto folding mirrors, rear parking sensors, a 2 DIN audio system with 1GB of memory and a rear air-con vent. The Grand i10 will be unveiled at the Frankfurt motor show.

The company official said, “Eon competes with the entry-level Alto (now Alto 800), but does not have a product that competes directly with Alto K10. The company may introduce the new Eon with 1.1L engine, which is currently being used in Santro Xing”

Puneet Gupta, associate director, IHS Automotive said, “Bringing a new product in the segment definitely creates a pull. In terms of product strategy, Hyundai is good at hitting the right area. They offer what Indians want. They were a bit weak on the diesel engine front, but the company will surely benefit with the new diesel engine offering”

Force motors plans to launch a premium SUV in next two years. It is to compete with vehicles likely Toyota Fortuner, Ford Endeavour, and Renault Koleos.The company plans to invest Rs 1000 crore for the development of premium SUV.

Force Motors, General Manager said, “As a company, Force Motors aspires to be a player across price segments. With the entry-level no-nonsense off-roader Gurkha priced Rs 6.25-8.25 lakh and SUV Force One priced Rs 8.99-11.99 lakh, we straddle the Rs 6-12 lakh bandwidth. Now we wish to extend the presence to Rs 18 lakh, and hence, the premium SUV”.

Force Motors also plans to launch LX variant of One soon in India which is expected to be priced about Rs 13-14 lakh and also we can expect the launch of its premium MPV by the end of this fiscal year.
