The French car maker, Renault plans to unveil its updated facelift at the Frankfurt motor show which is to be held on September 10.We can expect the launch of this car very soon in India. The engine of this  car will be the same 1.5 litre k9k diesel engine which can produce increased fuel economy and reduced co2 emission

It gets redesigned grille, two chrome-plated strips, a new air intake, and new double-optic headlights with daytime running lights. It will also get a new badging, chrome plated tail pipe , mud and snow tyres and16 inch dark metal alloy wheels Mr.David Durand, head of styling for the entry range at Dacia ,said “We built on the appeal of the original model and its proportions. Identity components such as the grille have been modernized. We have also strengthened the 4×4 cues of the vehicle, while keeping all its useful features. New Duster
gets an even stronger character while retaining its initial DNA.”

Yet another time.. Innova facelift

Toyota plans to launch facelift for Innova during the festive season in India. It is the third update of Innova. Toyota has already updated this car twice since its launch. It gets the same 2.5-litre D4D diesel engine which can develop maximum power of 102bhp and a 2.0-litre VVT petrol engine which can produce the maximum power of 130bhp. It gets a large chrome grill with three horizontal slats, new fog lamps. It also gets a thick strip of chrome which is located above the number plate at rear. It includes a new infotainment system which has a roof mounted screen. The top variant of Innova will receive steering mounted audio controls
It offers the Innova in six variants  like G(7 Seater),GX(7 seater),VX(7 seater),G(8 seater),GX(8 seater) and VX(8 seater).The price of this updated Innova is slightly higher than the current price.We can expect the all fresh Innova models by 2016.

 

Renault-Nissan Alliance plans to roll out its Pulse and Micra Sedan Variants in order to compete with Swift Dzire and Honda Amaze. These Sedan versions are still in development stage. The specific designs are yet to be confirmed by the top executives. It will get the stylish and sporty appearance. Recently Nissan has relaunched its Datsun brand after 32 years.

 

The company, Senior Engineer said “We are in talks to come up with Micra and Pulse sedans but the plans are still undecided. It might take us two years to come up with the cars but if the company wants, it can be done earlier as well. It depends on the urgency of the alliance to break into the entry-level sedan segment” .

 

Japanese car maker, Toyota has launched its new Camry Hybrid car at a price of Rs.29.75 lakh. The Camry Hybrid is the first locally manufactured hybrid car in India. It gets 2.5 litre beltless petrol engine which is mated to Electronically Controlled Continuous Variable Transmission (E-CVT). E-CVT gives reduced fuel consumption and less noise, vibration harshness.

The both engine and electric motor can develop the total power of 205 PS. The battery capacity of this hybrid system is 6.5 A/hr. Electric motor converts the kinetic energy into electric energy. So this hybrid vehicle is totally different from other electric vehicles. It does not require external charging. The Hybrid Synergy drive can sense and switch between the petrol engine and electric motor.

 

 

It will be available in four different colors silver metallic, grey metallic, attitude black and white pearl crystal shine. It gets the features like three zone climate control, ventilated front seats, four air bags, corner sensors, hill start control, traction control and vehicle stability control.

Actor, Mr.Ajith Kumar who loves biking, took a ride with his new hunk BMW S1000RR on August 18 from Chennai to Bangalore. He took this bike ride in order to create awareness of safety driving .So he wore all necessary safety measures.

He was caught by the traffic police near the borders of Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. He was waiting for his turn and produced all necessary documents. It was a very pleasant surprise to the people when he removed his helmet.

 

 

He said, “Basically, this trip was not just a fun ride on a luxury bike. I would like to create awareness about safety gear and the importance of wearing a helmet to the passionate bikers in the city.”

He added, “So, it is better to invest that money in safety measures rather than spending your hard-earned money for the after-effects of road accidents.” And also he assured that he wears a helmet in all his upcoming films.

 

Hyundai plans to launch its new updated Verna soon. The 2014 Verna will be rolled out after the
launching of its Grand i10. The top end variant of Verna receives the updates like Backlit power window buttons, steering mounted control and re styled alloy wheels. The redesigned alloy wheels are sharper than the current one. It
offers the spare wheel as an alloy wheel for top end variant. The other variants get steel rim as a spare
wheel

Hyundai also plans to include LED Day time running lamps as same as Hyundai i20.Hyundai will revise
the prices for this updated Verna .The price difference between the updated Verna and the current one
will be small.

TATA has launched a new variant of Safari Storme with a price at Rs 10.86 lakh.The new TATA Safari Storme Explorer gets features like cargo basket, navigation device, cycle carrier, front nudge guard,projector head lamps and tail lamps, roof mounted canopy etc. It also gets 2 DIN touch screen infotainment system and reverse parking assist.

It gets 2.2 litre varicor turbo diesel engine which can develop the maximum power of 140 Ps of power and maximum torque of 320 Nm. The engine is mated to five speed manual gear box. TATA introduced this new edition in order to increase its sales.
TATA Motors said in a statement that the new Edition ‘Tata Safari Storme Explorer’, comes with customised outdoor essentials and a host of technology features.

The German carmaker, Volkswagen has rolled out its new cross Polo at a price of Rs 7.75 lakh
It gets 1.2 litre TDI engine which can produce maximum power of 75 PS at 4200 RPM and maximum torque of 180 Nm at 2000 RPM. The engine is mated to five speed manual gear box .On the exterior side it gets new cross grill,five spoke alloy wheels, new bumpers

It gets the features like a 2-Din RCD 320 music system with USB, Aux-in, SD Card, Bluetooth and 4 speakers,telescopic adjustable steering wheel and automatic air conditioning system

Maruti Suzuki plans to roll out the SX4 replacement which is code named as YL1 in late 2014.The YL1 which will replace the SX4, is based on the Ertiga platform.It gets 1.3 DDIS 90hp Diesel and 1.4 K series Petrol engine systems which are already employed on the Ertiga.It gets features like push button start, keyless entry, puddle lamps, twin AC vents at the rear, leather seats,electric folding rear view mirrors,15 inch alloy wheels,two air bags.

Maruti Suzuki India launches its Wagon R Stingray on today,which is available at an initial price of Rs 4.10 lakh.It offers five colour options like blue, red, grey, white and silver.It has been rolled out with three variants like LXi, VXi, VXi(O).It gets 1000 cc K-series engine which can develop maximum power of 68 PS and maximum torque of 90 Nm.The engine is mated to five speed manual gear box. The top variant of this car offers driver side airbag,ABS,electrically adjustable rear view mirrors and projector head lamp.

Maruti Suzuki India, M.D & CEO,Kenichi Ayukawa said,”The launch of Stingray is in line with our strategy to provide new and refurbished models to our customers to create excitement in the market place. Indian auto industry has been going through a slowdown, but despite this customers continue to buy Maruti cars”.

He added,”We have sold around 1.3 million units of the WagonR since its launch in December 1999. We are doing on an average of about 12,000 units a month”.
