Nissan rolls out new Micra XE Diesel

Nissan has rolled out a new diesel XE trim for its Micra facelift at a price of Rs 5.57 lakh.It gets fuel economy of 23.08 kmpl, certified by Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI).It gets redesigned exterior and it also offers more features.

It comes with tilt adjustable steering, driver side airbag, chrome plated radiator grille, power steering and manual air-conditional controls. It gets Safety features like Immobilizer, Driver Seat Belt Warning Indicator, Door Ajar Warning Indicator, Low Fuel Level Warning Indicator, Headlight on Warning Indicator, Key Remove Warning Indicator etc.

The new XE trim is available in six different colors Turquoise blue, Storm white, Blade silver, Onyx black,Brick red, and Olive green.It gets a standard warranty of 2 years /50,000km.

Nissan India, MD and CEO, Kenichiro Yomura said, “The launch of the new Micra range in July received an overwhelming response from our customers. I am confident that the New Micra diesel variant is a good value proposition and a desirable option for the Indian customers. We are keen to replicate the success of the existing variants with the diesel-powered XE variant of the New Micra.”

Tata plans to launch Nano diesel variant

Tata Motors will roll out its Diesel variant of Nano by the end of March 2014.Currently petrol variant is only available in Nano.Tata plans to launch this diesel variant in order to increase its sales.It has undergone testing at Tata Motors, engineering and research facility at Pimpri and it has spotted near Pune.

It gets 800cc common rail-turbo diesel engine which can develop maximum power of 40 bhp. We can expect the price of this Nano diesel variant is Rs 50,000 higher than the current variant. It will be available in three variants.

Tata Motors, MD, Karl Slym said,”We have already made organisational changes in the company and strengthened the team. We recently introduced eight new products across five platforms under the Horizonnext intiative, which included CNG variants of some of our products. The diesel version of the Nano would follow soon within this financial year”

Kawasaki Ninja ZX10R and ZX14R Pictures

Kawasaki Motors launches Ninja ZX-10R and Ninja ZX-14R, two new super sports motorcycles which are priced at Rs 15.7 lakh and Rs 16.9 lakh respectively. The bookings of these two bikes will start from tomorrow. These super sports motorcycles initially available only at Maharashtra and it will sell the bikes across the country via new Kawasaki stores. It is expected that the new Kawasaki dealerships will come in all major cities across the country.

Kawasaki Motors launches Ninja ZX10R and ZX14R

Kawasaki Motors launches Ninja ZX-10R and Ninja ZX-14R, two new super sports motorcycles. These two bikes to be imported as Completely Built Units (CBU) in the country. Kawasaki also plans to roll out two new sports bike in the country for every year.

The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R gets 998cc, inline-four engine which is mated to six speed gear box. It can produce 194 Bhp of power and maximum torque of 112 Nm. It comes with S-KTRC (Sport-Kawasaki Traction Control) System and ABS. It also gets 310mm front petal dual discs and 220mm rear single petal discs. It offers electronic steering damper, an all-new frame and an ECO mode which is used for more fuel efficient riding.

The ZX-14R gets a 1.4-litre engine which can develop maximum power of 195 Bhp and maximum torque of 155 Nm. This engine is mated to six speed gear box. It includes adjustable front suspension, Uni-Trak gas charged rear suspension which can be fully adjustable and petal shaped front disc brakes. It gets traction control, ABS and three riding modes.

Honda rolls out Dream Yuga Limited Edition

Honda Motorcycle launches its limited edition, Dream Yuga at the same price of Rs 45,164.It gets 3D Honda badge, body colored rear view mirrors, chrome finish on the muffler protector and fresh decals for front cowl .Honda offers stylish dual tone colors on this limited edition.

Hyundai plans to launch new compact SUV

Hyundai plans to launch new compact SUV which is code named as GC in the country by early 2015. The platform of this compact SUV is completely new. It offers both the options of 5 seater and 7 seater. It has undergone testing and it was spotted at many places in South Korea

The new compact SUV gets both diesel and petrol engine options. It is expected that it will be get the same 1.5-litre CRDi engine which is already employed in the Verna and Elantra or a new 1.5-litre diesel engine which is developed by Hyundai as per emission norms. Hyundai plans to built engine making plant at Sriperumbudur, Chennai. The plant has the ability to deliver both petrol and diesel. It can produce 3,00,000 engines per year.

The compact SUV gets the Storm Edge design philosophy, Hyundai’s design direction for its SUVs .It will be priced under Rs 10lakh in order to compete with Ford EcoSport, Renault Duster. The current models of Hyundai are imported from South Korea.

General Motors to recall 4000 diesel variants

General Motors has announced the recall of 4,000 units of diesel variants of Chevrolet Sail model. The recall is to rectify the problem related to the engine and it is not safety related. It stopped the production and sales of the diesel variants on June 3 due to the issue of 1.3 liter diesel engine. This voluntary recall is to solve the issue at the crankshaft hub bolt.

He added, “The company is notifying customers individually how and when to bring in their vehicles for inspection. The affected vehicles will be repaired free of charge at GMI’s 278 service centers across the country”.

Hyundai rolls out its Grand i10 which is positioned between the first generation i10 and i20.It gets both petrol and diesel variants. It is available in eight in colors.

The 1.2-litre Kappa petrol engine which uses Dual VTVT can produce maximum power of 83 PS of at 6000 RPM and maximum torque of 114 Nm at 4000 RPM. This engine is mated to 5-speed manual and automatic transmissions. It gets new 1.1-litre U2 CRDi diesel engine which can develop maximum power of 71 PS at 4000 RPM and maximum torque of 160 Nm at 4000 RPM. This engine is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox .The ARAI certified mileage for the petrol variant and the diesel variant are 18.9 km/l and 24 km/l respectively.

It offers the features like diamond cut alloy wheels, smart key with push button start/stop, integrated 2-DIN MP3 audio system with in-built 1 GB memory, rear parking sensors, multi function steering wheel with Bluetooth, tilt steering, dual airbags, cooled glove box, rear washer, rear defogger, driver seat height adjust, power outlets of front and rear, audio and trip meter controls, roof rails,and ABS.

Hindustan Motors launches new Ambassador Encore

Hindustan Motors announced the price of its new Ambassador Encore at Rs 4,97,996. It gets BSIV complaint engine which has been certified as BS IV emissions compliant vehicle by the ARAI, Pune. The engine system can produce maximum power of 36 BHP and maximum torque of 73 Nm.

The smoke issues have been completely resolved by this BSIV engine. It offers better vehicle control with power steering and overall better drive ability with no compromise on fuel consumption.
