2014 Karizma R to produce 19.2 Bhp

Hero Motocorp has released the details of its new karizma R and also the Karizma ZMR. A few days before both these bikes were unveiled by Hero at Guragon. We can expect the launch of these bikes soon.

The Karizma R comes with scintillating body graphics, dual dynamic head lamps, astra gold front and rear disc brakes, integrated LED tail lamp and digital analogue meter console. It can produce maximum power output of 19.2 bhp. The claimed 0-60 km/hr time is 3.6 seconds.

2014 Karizma ZMR to produce 20 Bhp

Hero Motocorp has revealed that the upcoming Karizma ZMR can produce maximum power output of 20 bhp and maximum torque of 19.7Nm at 6500 rpm. It is expected that the updated ZMR is to be priced higher than the previous model. Hero plans to launch this model by the end of this year.

The new Karizma gets the features like the digital system, suspension and wheels. It comes with five spoke wheels, telescopic hydraulic shock absorbers at the front and Swing arm with adjustable type hydraulic shock absorber at the rear.

Mr. Munjal told previously, “There is a lot of innovation happening in our own R&D and we will bring it to the market through some of the products we will launch. We have applied for patents for those innovations. This is showcasing our capability. We will be launching the new Karizma variants which are redesigned and the engine made more powerful with our partner EBR. This is the first commercial production model in which they have played a big part in development.”

Mahindra launches Xylo D2 Maxx

Mahindra has launched the 9 seater variant of Xylo MPV which is named as Xylo D2 Maxx at a price of Rs 7.12 lakh. It is also available in 7 seater and 8 seater variants. The D2 Maxx offers both BS3 and BS4 variants.It comes with a 2.5 liter mDI CRDe turbo diesel engine which can produce maximum power output of 93.7 Bhp and 220 Nm of torque. This engine is coupled to a five speed manual gearbox. It offers an ARAI certified milege of 14.95 Kmpl.

It comes with black wing mirrors, steel wheels, black front and rear bumper, black door handles and black grille. It will compete with the models like Maruti Ertiga, Chevrolet Enjoy, Tata Sumo Gold and Ashok Leyland Stile.

Bajaj to launch Discover 100M

Bajaj plans to launch its Discover 100M at the upcoming Bajaj event. It may happen on the 15th of this month. The Discover 100M will be positioned between the 100 4G and 100T

The Bajaj Discover 100M will get 102cc, four-stroke, single cylinder, air-cooled carbureted engine which uses DTS-i technology. The engine can churn out the power output of 9.3 Bhp and peak power of 9.2 Nm. The engine is coupled to a 5-speed manual gearbox. It will get features like angular headlights with bikini fairing and sharp looking fuel tank, electric starter and web-spoke pattern alloys.

The red, black and blue are the available shades of Discover 100M. It includes front and rear drum bakes but comes with the option of a petal type front disc brake. It is expected that the price of the Discover 100M is Rs. 45,000.It will compete with the bikes like Mahindra Centuro and Honda Dream Neo.

Hero unveils Splendor iSmart and 125cc Super Splendor

Hero has unveiled its new Splendor Pro which is named as Splendor iSmart. The new Splendor iSmart is the first bike which is to get the Start-Stop System in India. Hero has introduced the new i3s technology, Idle Start Stop system. This Idle Start Stop System stops the engine when it is idle and it turns on the engine when needed.

The Start-Stop function can work only in neutral in geared two wheelers and this technology improves the fuel efficiency of vehicles. This system switches the engine in off state automatically at traffic signals and other brief stops in order to avoid the wasteful fuel consumption. This system will lead the bike to give improved fuel efficiency and reduced Co2 emission.

The refreshed 100cc Splendor Pro will come with a new carrier and rear cowl, improved ergonomics, new graphics, redesigned dial, new side-stand indicator and black alloy wheels. The 125cc Super Splendor also receives new graphics and a side-stand indicator.

Hero exhibits refreshed Xtreme and Passion Pro

Hero has also unveiled another two updated models, the refreshed Passion Pro and Xtreme at the press conference in Guragon.

The refreshed Xtreme gets the same 149.2cc four-stroke engine which can deliver the maximum power output of 14.4 PS at 8,500 rpm and maximum torque output of 12.8 Nm at 6,500 Rpm. It gets a new speedometer, headlamp with new eyebrow lights and LED taillight with light guides.The refreshed Hero Xtreme gets the engine immobilizer system which is used to avoid thefts.

The refreshed Passion Pro will come with new body colors and graphics. It gets the 97.2cc 4-stroke engine which can produce 7.8 PS at 7,500 Rpm and 8.04 Nm at 4,500 rpm. It receives a side-stand indicator, service reminder, all-black saree guard and revised dial design. It gets the disc brakes at the front and telescopic shock absorber for the front suspension and also a swing arm with an adjustable shock absorber at rear.

Hero has also unveiled the updated models which are known as Glamour and Glamour FI at the press conference in Guragon.

The both models get the same 124.8cc 4-stroke single cylinder OHC engine which can develop maximum power output of 9 bhp at 7,000rpm and 10.35Nm of torque at 4,000rpm.These models receive new body graphics and redesigned dials on the instrument console.

Hero displays updated versions of HF-Dawn,HF-Deluxe and HF-Deluxe Eco

Hero has unveiled a new variant of HF-Deluxe which is named as HF-Deluxe Eco .It also showcased the updated versions of HF-Dawn and HF Deluxe. The updated HF-Dawn and HF Deluxe receive a side standard indicator and turn indicators with clear lens.

These bikes get the same four-stroke, 97.2cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine. The engine can churn out the maximum power output of 7.8 Ps at 7500 Rpm and maximum torque output of 8.04 Nm at 4500 Rpm. The engine is coupled to 4 speed constant mesh gear box.

The Dawn is available with both kick start and electric start options while the Hero offers the Dawn with kick start option only. It gets 130mm drum brakes at the front and 110mm drum brakes at rear.

Hero reveals new Karizma facelift and Karizma ZMR

The new Karizma gets a 223cc, air-cooled, carbureted four-stroke engine which currently churns out 17 Bhp at 7,000 rpm and maximum torque output of 19.35 Nm at 6,000 rpm. The engine is coupled through a 5-speed gearbox. It offers features like Kick-start and electric start, rear disc brake, and a 15-liter fuel tank.

The Karizma ZMR gets a 223cc oil-cooled fuel-injected four-stroke engine which can produce maximum power output of 17.6 Bhp at 7,000 RPM. Its torque has been increased from 18.35 Nm at 6,000 rpm to 19.73 Nm at 6,500 rpm.The Karizma R and Karizma ZMR get the telescopic hydraulic shock absorbers at the front and Swing arm with adjustable type hydraulic shock absorber at the rear.

Hero unveils new Pleasure with IBS

Hero Motocorp has showcased fifteen refreshed models at the press conference in Gurgaon. Hero plans to launch all these two wheelers by the end of this fiscal year. It has showcased its new Pleasure with IBS (Integrated Braking System) which is the 100cc scooter mainly targeted at women.

It gets the same 102cc air-cooled, single-cylinder, four-stroke engine. It can produce maximum power output of 6.74hp at 7,000rpm and 7.85Nm of torque at 5,000rpm.

The IBS (Integrated Braking System) is a System which is used to link the front and rear brakes of a scooter. IBS is a new feature in terms of safety which is specially designed by the R&D department of Hero. Hero Motocorp has applied patent for this IBS. The IBS system is different from the Combi –Brake System of Honda. The Combi-Brake system does not work when only the front brake is applied by the user. It is the main difference between the Combi –Brake System and IBS (Integrated Braking System).

The new Pleasure comes with features like a mobile charger socket, boot light in luggage box, a lockable glove box, combination ignition lock with seat opening and side stand indicators.
