Harley-Davidson reveals Street 750 and Street 500 motorcycle models for urban environments with all-new liquid-cooled revolution X™ power trains. The models will be built at the company’s Bawal mother plant in Haryana and it will be exported to other countries. The Street 500 and Street 750 will get 484cc and 749cc V twin engine. Both these motorcycles will get 6 speed manual gear box. It is expected that these two models would be launched in the country by next year.

Matt Levatich, President and Chief Operating Officer, Harley-Davidson Motor Company, said “These are the newest motorcycles to join our Dark Custom lineup, which helped make us the number-one selling brand to young adults in the U.S. for the past five years”

He added, “Both the Street 750 and Street 500 were designed with thousands of hours of input from young adults in cities around the world. This input guided both the attitude and capabilities of these motorcycles. They are proof that being customer-led continues to be a core driver of our product development process.”

Mark-Hans Richer, Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer, Harley-Davidson Motor Company said, “These new bikes are leaner, yet still have a mean streak – they’re the real deal, made of real steel.” He added, “They are designed to handle the abuses of urban environments and provide authentic opportunities to customize.”

The German car maker, Volkswagen has launched its upgraded version of Jetta in India. The price of Jetta facelift in the range of Rs 13.70-19.43 lakh. The cost of the top end diesel variant is Rs 19.43 lakh.

It gets both petrol and diesel The 1.4 liter TSI turbo petrol engine can develop the maximum power of 120 Bhp and maximum torque of 200 Nm. The petrol engine is mated to 6 speed manual gearbox. The 2 liter TDI turbo diesel engine can produce maximum power of 138 Bhp and maximum torque of 320 Nm. The 2 litre TDI turbo diesel engine is available with two gearbox options. The gearbox options are 6 speed manual and a 6 speed dual clutch DSG automatic.

The Updated Jetta receives the features like Xenon headlamps with headlamp washers, LED daytime running lights, 16 inch alloy wheels, dual zone climatronic AC, front & rear parking sensors, cruise control and 12 way electrically adjustable driver seat.

Yamaha plans to launch a unisex scooter in India which will compete with Honda Activa. The two new automatic scooters are Ray and Ray Z which are aimed at women and men respectively. These unisex model scooters will be unveiled at the upcoming 2014 Indian Auto Expo in Feb 2014.

It is expected that it would get the same 113 cc, four stroke, single cylinder engine which can churn out maximum power of 7 bhp at 7500 rpm and torque of 8.1 Nm at 5100 rpm. These new automatic scooters are positioned above the current ray model. It is also expected that Yamaha would launch more automatic scooters in India.

Asano Masaki, MD ,Yamaha Motor India said, “Through our premium motorcycles we have created a strong brand amongst the India’s youth, but over 90% of Indian two-wheelers are utilised for daily commute purpose. We think there is a good potential for a unisex family scooter, which would help us build our volumes going ahead.”

The official images of KTM RC series bikes have been leaked on the web. The RC series motorcycles include new RC125, RC200 and RC390.KTM RC series full-faired motorcycles will be manufactured at Bajaj Auto’s Chakan factory. These KTM RC series motorcycles receive the changes like clip on handle bars, twin headlamps, turn indicators and shorter wheelbase.

The RC 125 will compete with the Yamaha R125.The RC 200 and RC 390 shares most of the parts like engine gearbox and frame with Duke 200 and Duke 390 respectively. The RC200, one of the full faired motorcycles is positioned between the Duke 200 and Duke 390 while the RC 390 will get the first position in the upcoming Duke Motorcycles.

The RC200 to be heavier than the Duke 200 and it is expected that the price of the RC200 might be closed to the price of Honda CBR 250R. It is expected that the launch of KTM RC 200 and RC390 would be in India during 2014.

Bajaj has undergone testing of its new Pulsar 200 with retuned version of the NS’s four-stroke, single-cylinder engine. The new Bajaj Pulsar 200 was spotted near Kolhapur. Bajaj Auto’s Managing Director, Mr. Rajiv Bajaj, confirmed that the company would launch two “super sports bikes” under the Pulsar brand by the “middle of this financial year”. This new Bajaj Pulsar 200 will be the one of the two “Super sports bikes” under the pulsar brand.

The Pulsar 200 will get a retuned version of 199.5cc, liquid cooled, single cylinder, four stroke engine. It is expected that the engine would be able to deliver maximum power output of 32 bhp and torque output of 18.3 Nm. The engine will be coupled to six speed close ratio gear box.

It will get single drilled disc brakes and telescopic forks for front suspension and monoshock suspension at rear. It is expected that Bajaj will launch this new Pulsar 200 by the end of this year.

Hero plans to relaunch its Impulse with a bigger engine. Impulse was introduced by the company in the year of 2011.The production of Impulse Stopped in 2012.Now Mr.Munjal has confirmed that the relaunch would happen in the country very soon .The Current Impulse is powered by 150cc, 4 stroke single cylinder OHC engine.

Hero’s MD & CEO, Pawan Munjal has said, “The Impulse is a great product and I am working on bringing it back. It is an ongoing process and soon we will re-launch it. It will be available at a bigger as well as with the same engine configuration “

He added, “It has just been over two years since we commenced our solo journey, and in such a short span of time, we have made significant upgradation of our existing line-up, incorporating next generation technology and features. This is also a reiteration of our capability to develop indigenous technologies”

He also added, “In our R&D we are always working to bring the cost down. We are working on a bike that will be less expensive than our current entry-level bike HF Dawn, but not drastically cheaper.”

Toyota has launched its Fortuner TRD Sportivo limited editon at a price of Rs 24.26 lakh. It comes with the features like a rear roof spoiler, radiator grille with TRD emblem and Rear TRD Sportivo emblem. It offers two colors like white and silver. It receives many changes to its interior side.

It gets the same 3 liter-4 cylinder D-4 D turbo diesel engines which can produce maximum power of 171 Bhp and maximum torque of 343 Nm. The engine gets both manual and automatic manual gear box.The engine with 5 speed automatic gearbox can offer maximum torque upto 360 Nm.

Honda has unveiled the new CBR300R at the 12th China International Motorcycle Trade Exhibition in Chongqing, China. The company will replace the CBR250R with this new CBR300R model.

The main difference between the CBR300R and CBR250R is the new twin head light. The CBR300R will come with 300 cc engine which can develop the maximum power of 35 Ps and maximum torque of 29 Nm. It has revealed the models with two colors only. The shades are rose white and millennium red.

The company will produce this Honda CBR300R at its plant in Thailand.It will get two variants like Standard and ABS.Honda also plans to launch this bike in India. If it is launched then it will compete with the bikes like KTM 390 Duke and Kawasaki Ninja 300.

Actor, Mr.Ajith Kumar who is passionate towards biking, took a ride with his BMW bike from Pune to Chennai.He crossed a distance of 1354 Km from Navnit Motors Pvt.Ltd , Pune to the Valmiki Nagar Post office, Chennai. He chose the AH 47/NH 4 to reach chennai. He has taken 19 hours and 26 minutes to complete this trip.

He already took a bike ride for road safety in the month of August. At that time he has taken a bike ride from Chennai to Bangalore in order to create the awareness of road safety and this bike trip also to explore the traffic culture.

He felt that that the road trip was like meditation that gave him a lot of time to think about his other future plans .He was spotted at many places on the road side with all necessary safety measures. He enjoyed eating local foods at the roadside shops.

A person close to the actor says , “After wrapping up a small patch work for ‘Arrambam’, Ajith drove his bike from Mumbai to Pune, to shoot for ‘Veeram’. After completing his 20-day schedule for the film, he decided to ride back from Pune to Chennai in his bike. With the help of a road map, he rode more than 1300 km for about 19 hours in his bike with all the necessary safety gear. This road trip is to continue the road safety campaign and also to get to know more about the traffic culture in India. He has always wanted to discover that.”
