Tata Jump SUV to take on Ford Ecosport

Tata is finally showing the steps to re-boot its product portfolio. Tata recently showcased Revotron petrol engine family which would power the future tata cars. Falcon hatchback and falcon compact sedan are set to follow. Also in the development is new diesel engine.

Whats more exciting is the recent report of autocar india which claims, Tata is all set to launch a compact suv. You read it right, this won’t be pseudo suv like cross polo but a true compact suv. Tata will showcase the Jump concept at the 2014 auto expo and launch may happen sometime in 2015. Tata was first indian auto maker to venture successfully in the suv segment with the launch of sumo and safari. But the absence of new products and failure to update the products cost them wipe out in the segment. Jump could be fresh jump by tata motors in the SUV segment. But Tata needs a note of caution, if the product is fails to ready on time. Then the segment itself may lose fancy among car buyers

Below is the line-up of India’s no 1 and no 2 manufacturer

Maruti is all set to launch the celerio ez drive. But if you think that’s the only thing from maruti, you could be wrong. Japanese manufacturer always plans big since celerio is already widely publicized, there could be one or two secret weapons which could be unveiled only Feb 5th or 6th. Apart from the celerio, we expect Maruti to unleash the next generation SX4 (ciaz) and closer to production compact SUV (IV-4)
To sum it up

1) celerio
2) Next gen SX4 (ciaz)
3) IV-4 (XA-alpha corrected)
4) Few new limited edition
5) few new body kits (which would never reach showrooms)

The price of Centuro N1 is Rs.2000 cheaper while compared with the existing variant of Centuro in which the LCD instrument cluster has been replaced with an analogue cluster which is quite outstanding. This disables to find out the distance-to-empty and service indicator feature of the bike.

The new Mahindra Centuro N1 resembles like the previous centuro and it has borrowed many features from the old. The new bike comes with a MCi-5 engine along with anti-theft alarm system and engine immobiliser, remote flip key, find-me lamps, guide lamps, revised fuel sensing system.

Suzuki to launch Gixer 150cc bike in India

If you laughed at the pricing of Suzuki inazuma, think again! The japanese manufacturer like its brand ambassador salman khan is not going give up easily. Suzuki plans a tactical attack on 150cc segment with the gsx-r inspired bike for india. Like Yamaha rolled R15 on the lines of R1 and R6, suzuki could bring up the gixer for India. Gixer could come 150cc engine that already powers the Suzuki’s GS150R albeit in a different tune. With a modern design and higher power output Suzuki may set the warning alarm to 150cc segment rulers – Bajaj and Yamaha. Who knows Bajaj may advance the launch of 150NS and customers may be spoilt for choice.

Yamaha’s new scooter – cygnus alpha

Following the success of Ray (thanks to deepika padukone), Yamaha is all set to unveil a new scooter at the auto expo. Christened as cygnus alpha yamaha’s new scooter would join the Ray and Ray Z. That’s all exciting.

With cygnus scooter, yamaha follows the path of Honda, Hero and Suzuki. The path is nothing but rebadging instead of re-engineering. Like suzuki launched a new scooter swish which is nothing but the access with modified body panels. Yamaha’s cygnus will come with the same heart and transmission as Ray. The only difference being the style.  The headlamp would move to the handle bar. We expect the pricing to be slightly lower than the Ray appealing to the masses (especially the activa’s customer)
