The Japanese car manufacturer, Nissan plans to showcase the Sunny facelift at the upcoming Auto Expo 2014.The facelift includes a new headlamps, new grille, chrome accessories and redesigned front bumper. There are no changes in mechanical updates. It will use the same existing 1.5 litre petrol and diesel engines. Both the engines are coupled to 5 speed manual gear box. The top end variant is available with CVT automatic gear box. The 2014 Nissan Sunny will compete with the cars like new Honda City, Maruti SX4, Volkswagen Vento and Skoda Rapid.

Nissan at 2014 auto expo would be far from vibrant, the japanese automaker will be low profile with sister brands datsun and renault taking the lead. However, Nissan will showcase the facelifted evalia (yeah one more time) and sunny facelift at the auto expo. As usual, we bring you the complete details and pictures well before the auto expo launch. The new nissan gets a completely redesigned front with typically japanese headlamps, redesigned grille and bumper.  However there is no day time running lights yet. The front also gets a chrome treatment. The side profile is largely unchanged and the rear gets a redesigned bumper.

The mechanicals of 2014 nissan sunny is unchanged with the same petrol and diesel engine. Interiors are thoroughly new with an all new central console with a “Piano Black” theme. It features a 2-DIN radio with a 6.1-inch touchscreen DVD player. The three spoke steering wheel with mounted audio controls is also new.

 

 

Chevrolet is all set to enter the compact SUV segment. At the auto expo, chevrolet will showcase the concept suv christened as “Adra”. Chevrolet will gauge the response at the 2014 auto expo. Adra suv is built on the chevrolet’s small car platform gamma platform. Adra will fall under 4 metres to qualify for the small car norm.

Adra will share the parts with enjoy including the tested 1.3L multijet diesel engine albeit in a different tune.  Chevrolet will also the launch the facelifted beat at the expo with updated bumpers, grille and mirrors. Coming back to the adra, we expect the adra if and when launched to carry cheapest price in its segment

 

Fiat,the Italian manufacturer has been developing a cross variant of Punto which is likely to be called Punto Avventure. The Punto Avventure has been spotted testing near the company’s factory at Pune.

Punto Avventure looks similar to the Punto car, except the tail gate. The company has relocated the car’s spare wheel on the tail gate. It will offer a new bumper with a Swing arm to Support the spare wheel on tail gate.

It is expected to get 1.3 litre, 4 cylinder, Multijet diesel engine which is coupled with a 5 speed gear box. Currently Fiat offers this engine with 75 Ps and 90 Ps two states of tune. It gets the similar plastic cladding and roof rails as Volkswagen Polo Cross. Fiat Punto Avventure is likely to be displayed at the upcoming 2014 Auto Expo.

KTM, Austrian bike manufacturer has introduced a new colour for their recently launched KTM Duke 390. It was first showcased at the 2013 EICMA show in Milan. The new shade ‘Midnight Black’ is now available in our Country.The price of Duke 390 is Rs 1,86,500. KTM sells the Duke 390 through 115 dealerships across the Country.

Duke 390 is one of the most powerful motorcycles of KTM’s bike range in India. It gets liquid cooled, 373cc, four stroke, fuel injected engine which can churn out 43 bhp of maximum power and 35 Nm of maximum torque. The engine is mated to 6 speed manual gear box. It includes upside down front forks and a monoshock suspension at the rear. It gets the Standard ABS which can be turned on and turned off by the riders.

Mr. Amit Nandi, Vice President (Probiking) said “Packing in 44 PS of power and 35 N-m of torque and weighing only 154 Kg (Kerb weight), the 390 Duke has truly been India’s first mid-size sports bike. With the introduction of the new Black color KTM fans will have the option of choosing a color that expresses them best.”

Suzuki launches Gixxer 150cc bike in India. The Gixxer was spotted only a few days back at Noida. Today,Suzuki’s brand ambassador Salman Khan unveils the Gixxer in Mumbai.The engine and the Chasis of Gixxer have been equipped by GSX-R series motorcycle engineers. Gixxer gets both electric and Kick start. The Suzuki Gixxer gets a 150cc, Single cylinder, SOHC engine. The engine uses air cooling and a Carburettor for fuel intake. The all new engine uses the Suzuki Eco Performance (SEP) Technology. The new engine can provide low-end torque figures.

It uses telescopic forks at the front and monoshock suspension at the rear. It includes disc brake at the front and drum brake at the rear. The tyres are fitted with the size of 100/80-17 at the front and 140/60-17 at a rear.Suzuki Gixxer will compete with the bikes like the Honda CB Trigger, Yamaha FZ.

If honda could graduate to 125cc scooter to take on suzuki access, why can’t suzuki do the reverse. Suzuki has launched a new scooter called let’s. 110cc scooter will directly compete against the Honda activa, Hero Maestro and TVS wego.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Suzuki Let’s is powered by a 112.8cc engine which produces a peak power of 8.7 HP of power at 7500 RPM and 9 Nm of peak torque at 5500 RPM. Lets scooter uses telescopic front forks and 120 mm drums at the front and rear. The tyres are tubeless 90/100/10 on both sides. Under standard testing conditions suzuki Let’s scooter returns a mileage of 63 km/l. Lets scooter would be available in 5 colours including blue,black,silver, white and red.

Tata’s falcon hatchback finally got its attractive name “Bolt”. Tata has christened as the new car after the jamaican sprinter usain bolt. Tata Bolt will get the newly launched 1.2L revotron engine generating a peak power of 84bhp. Bolt will also get the most popular 1.3L multijet diesel engine.

Bolt is built on the same vista platform and sharing many parts with vista. However Tata engineers has burnt midnight oil to change the characteristic of the car to withstand against the tough competitors. The body panels and mechanicals have changed to mark the new era of indica. Going by the rave reviews of Nano twist, Bolt has also switched to EPS (electric power steering) from the vista’s hydraulic steering. Also the bored Christmas tree lights will pave way for the modern italian design type taillamp

Hero Motocorp which recently shocked the competitors with the number of product facelifts will finally launch these products at the auto expo. The new karizma retains the same engine but gets improved power output of 17.2PS and 18.35Nm of torque. The more advance karizma zmr fi will now churn out 20bhp of peak power and 18.35Nm of peak torque.

However the real star of the show would be the Karizma 250cc which hero produced in collaboration with EBR racing. This could be the first all new product post the hero-honda split-up. With an aim to make it a sure-shot success, Hero could give ample spec in terms of power and work out attractive sticker price.
