Volkswagen, the German car manufacturer plans to hike the prices of its sedan Vento and hatch back Polo by a 2.7%.It will hike the price of Rs. 22,700 for its Polo and Rs. 26,800 for the Vento. The new prices will be effective from February 1, 2014. The Company has told that its best selling hatchback Polo will include dual airbags as a standard for all of its variants.

Mr.Arvind Saxena, MD ,Volkswagen group sales India said, “Input costs have steadily increased over the last few months, and exchange rate movements have not been favourable. We have tried our best to absorb some of these, but in order to be able to continue to offer best-in-class quality and technology to our customers, we have now announced a 2.7% hike in our car prices.”

 

 

 

 

Mahindra has launched its Maxximo Mini Van VX school bus with ‘Safe Eye’ digital technology at a price of Rs 4.37-4.88 lakh. The ‘Safe Eye’ digital technology is used to provide safe transportation.

 

The features of ‘Safe Eye’ digital technology are as follows

• GPS based messaging service and real time tracking of children accessible to parents/school administrators on their Android phone or PC.
• Location & speed tracking on GPS map and through SMS alert.
• Emergency notification in case of accidents, deviations from pre-set route or non-scheduled stops.
• CCTV/Still Camera with tamper proof equipment stores video footage up to 48 hours.
• Webcam/Live Feed uses a 3G network to keep track of school van in transit.

Suzuki plans to unveil its S-Cross crossover concept at the upcoming 2014 Auto Expo. Suzuki’s S-Cross concept was released at the 2014 Paris Motor Show. The S-Cross concept gets the sporty look due to its aerodynamic design.The S-Cross concept will be available with both petrol and diesel engine options. It will get 1.6 litre petrol engine which can churn out maximum power output of 120 bhp and maximum torque output of 156 Nm. The engine can return an overall mileage of 19kmpl.The petrol engine will be available with manual transmission or CVT gear box.

The 1.6-litre multijet diesel engine can deliver net power of 120 bhp and net torque of 320 Nm. The engine will be available with 6 speed manual gearbox only. The engine can return a mileage of 24 kmpl. The overall length, width and height of the S-Cross crossover concept are 4310mm, 1840mm and 1600mm respectively. The wheelbase is 2600mm and the size of the tyre is 235/55-R20.

The Suzuki S-Cross will get the tilt & reach adjustable steering. It will include disc brake at the front and drum brake at the rear. It will come with 16” alloy wheels. It will get the features like  LED headlights, Chrome front grille, flared wheel arches, front skid plate and sleek roof rails.

Hero has unveiled five new models in India. HX250R is one of the model with attractive features from Hero.The features are underseat exhaust,combined braking system,optional ABS and LED lights at both front and rear.It gets the 249cc, single-cylinder engine which uses liquid-cooling and fuel-injection to develop 31 bhp of maximum power output.It does not reveal the details about the torque figures.It is expected to produce around 25 Nm.The wheelbase and the ground clearance are 1370 mm and 145 mm respectively.The front gets 110/80-17 tyre while the rear gets the size of 140/70-17 tyre.The length,width and height of the HX250R is 2085 mm, 735 mm and 1145 mm respectively.

 

 

Hero has unveiled its new Xtreme Sports which gets a single-cylinder, 150 cc engine which can develop maximum power of 15.2 bhp with maximum torque of 12.8 Nm.The engine is coupled to a five-speed gearbox. It receives a new headlamp with LED position lights.It also include telescopic hydraulic front suspension and an adjustable gas reservoir swing arm rear suspension.

Here are all the complete specification of Hero motocorp HX250R you would love to read. If Bajaj has taken step-by-step, Hero has taken a leap with HX250R. It has all the specifications and features of Honda CBR250R on paper. Similar to Honda CBR250R, HX250R comes with liquid cooled, fuel injected engine and an underseat exhaust. Not to forget the Combined braking system with an optional ABS. Hero HX250R is sure to make the buyers before signing the cheque for pulsar 200NS or pulsar 200SS or even the KTM Duke 200. However we reserve the judgment till we drive the bike and see the sticker price. The most important is the price. Hero with its size could have brought the cost attractive if it has produced the bike in-house but getting a bike with the amount the spec mentioned is a himalayan task even for a manufacturer like hero. If hero borrowed technologies from outside, then the HX250R pricing would be astromical. Hero unveils RNT, a new diesel scooter concept in India.It also unveil new CBZ Xtreme Sport, new Dash scooter, new Leap scooter and the HX250R. The RNT scooter is powered by a 150cc liquid-cooled turbo-diesel engine which can generate 13.5PS of maximum power output and maximum torque output of 35Nm.The engine is mated to a six speed gearbox.It also include detachable headlamps.
