Hero has just showcased its 600cc concept superbike known as Hastur at the ongoing Auto Expo Event. Hero Hastur has been developed jointly with Erik Buell Racing which would be a tough competitor to its other upcoming bikes inlcluding KTM Duke 690, Triumph Street Triple and Triumph Daytona 675.

The new Hastur is a tubular naked frame bike fitted with twin exhausts like KTM Duke 200 and Duke 390. The bike gets a raised fuel tank with the striking color combination of black, grey and yellow. The bike features a better performance tyres, brakes and suspensions and the color combinations offers a powerful and aggressive street fighter look. The overall designs gives more sporty appearance to the bike which is quite good.

The Hero Hastur comes with a parallel twin engine generating the maximum power of around 80 BHP and maximum torque of 65 NM respectively. The weight of the bike is measured as 190 kgs. Other details of the Hero Hastur 600cc bike are not yet revealed.

Following the unveil of Passion Pro TR & Splendor Pro Classic bike models, Hero also showcased two new concept bikes at the ongoing Auto Expo. iON and SimplEcity are the two new concept bike models.After its launch, SimplEcity will be the first electric motorcycle of India.

Code named “SimplEcity, the bike works on electric power from batteries….and essentially designed for use within cities”, said one of the persons familiar with the development.

The bike gets lightweight battery pack integrated with the seat that can be carried indoor for recharging. A smartphone when docked on the handlebar becomes the dashboard through an app.

The Honda Activa comes with an advanced braking technology of Combo-Brake features enabling shorter braking distance and stable braking. Both front and rear are fitted with drum brakes of about 130 mm diamter along with CBS. Likewise, it is easy to handle the scooter with an excellent suspension system in which the front suspension comes with a bottom link with spring loaded hydraulic damper where as the rear suspension gets a unit swing with spring loaded hydraulic damper. Apart from other, the Active is well equipped with puncture resistant tuff-up tube at the rear tyre in order to minimize the sudden puncture by 70% enhancing safety and comfortable ride.

TVS has showcased its Graphite scooter at the 2014 Auto Expo.The  Graphite scooter  will come with an Automated Manual Transmission(AMT) gear box. The AMT gearbox is coupled with paddle shifters. The overall weight of the scooter is 112 Kg. It gets the fuel tank capacity of 6 litre.The saddle height of the vehicle is 780mm. The wheelbase of the Graphite is 1285mm while the ground clearance is 155mm. The AMT gear box, Active Matrix LCD display , Immobilizer and Smart electronic key are the highlights of Graphite scooter.

TVS has showcased its Draken ,concept motorcycle at 2014 Auto Expo. The  Draken gets 249.2cc, 4V, DOHC, liquid cooled engine.
