TVS launches Apache RTR 160 RD

TVS today launched a new variant of apache RTR called apache RTR 160 RD. ‘RD’ denotes Rear Disc. The Apache RTR 160 RD now comes with a factory fitted 200mm Rear Petal Disc Brake.With the introduction of 200mm Petal Rear Disc brake, the Apache RTR adds a new performance dimension offering Incomparable Braking Performance. The rear disc brake variant called Apache RTR 160 RD is available at a nominal premium of Rs. 2000/- over the existing rear drum brake version.

GM Chevrolet cuts prices of spark,Aveo U-VA, Aveo and Tavera

GM Chevrolet today announced price cut on its models – spark,Aveo U-VA,Aveo and Tavera. Here are the revised prices

* Price of  spark has come down by Rs 8,000-Rs 10,200

* Price of ‘Aveo U-VA’ has been cut between Rs 12,000 – Rs16,000

* Aveo sedan sees a price cut of 16,700-Rs 21,000.

* GM’s Tavera becomes cheaper by Rs 16,500

“These price cuts are in addition to the discounts offered by the company between Rs 20,000 and Rs 58,000 on our different models,” GM India Vice President P Balendran said.

Skoda to cut prices of Fabia,Octavia,Laura and Superb

Skoda India today announce price cut on it models – Fabia,Octavia,Laura and Superb following the four per cent reduction in Cenvat.”To pass on the benefit of the Cenvat reduction by the government, the company will slash prices between Rs 12,500 and Rs 51,500 across all models,” Skoda India Board Member (Sales and Marketing) Thomas Kuehl said. The company was currently working on the details of price cut on various models, he added. “We are also in negotiations with the dealers for sharing the burden as they already have old stocks,” Kuehl said.

Skoda also opened a new showroom at Faridabad in the National Capital Region.This is part of Skoda’s expansion to take the dealer count to 65 from 56 now.

Ford cuts prices of Fusion,Fiesta and Endevaour

Ford India today announced the price cut on ikon,Fusion,Fiesta and Endeavour. Like other manufacturers, Ford too pass the benefits to ollowing the 4% reduction in advalorem cenvat rates by the government on Sunday.. President of Ford India Michael Boneham said, “The government action will bring some relief to the Indian automotive industry in general. We recognize the need to boost customer confidence in these times as they look for increased value for money. With these changes the consumers will get yet another reason to cheer and utilize this opportunity.”

* As per the revised rate, Fusion petrol plus becomes cheaper by Rs18,500 to Rs6.18lakh

* Fiesta diesel becomes cheaper by  Rs25,000 to Rs7.89 lakh

* Endeavour’s price is cut by Rs 54,000

Mahindra Renault offers Rs60,000 discount for logan

Mahindra Renault which managed to sell just 300 units last month is offering an attractive discount offer of Rs60,000 on logan. The discount is a mix of direct cash discount from Mahindra Renault and the benefit arising out of the Cenvat rate cut.

You can avail the discount on all the nine variants of logan and the discount comes into effect from 10th December. The discount rates on the Logan will be valid till December 27. Nalin Mehta, chief executive officer, Mahindra Renault, said, “We are offering a uniform discount of Rs 60,000 on the car from tomorrow, which is a mix of direct cash discount from us and the benefit arising out of the Cenvat rate cut.”

* Base variant of Logan petrol – Logan 1.4GL now comes at Rs4,12,000 against the Rs4,72,000 earlier.

*  Base variant of Logan  – Logan1.5 DLE diesel comes at Rs 5.15 lakh as against Rs 5.75 lakh earlier. Customers can also avail themselves of a bonus of Rs 10,000 under an exchange offer, which will be in addition to the Rs 60,000 cash discount.

Honda reduces prices of CBF stunner,Shine,Activa,Aviator and Unicorn

Hero Honda cuts prices of Splendor,Passion plus,Pleasure,Glamour, CBZ X-treme and Hunk

Hero Honda today announced price cut for its models – splendour plus,passion plus,Glamour,Splendour NXG,super splendour,pleasure,Hunk,CBZ X-treme and Hunk . These models see a price cut of Rs 1500-3000 Rs1000-Rs2000 per vehicle. More details are expected

Honda cuts prices of City,Civic and Accord; hikes the price of CR-V

Owing to the cut in CENVAT, Honda siel car today announced the cut in prices of city,civic and accord.
The revised prices will come into effect from December 08th. Commenting on duty reduction and other economic measures announced by the government on Sunday, Mr. M. Takedagawa, President & CEO, Honda Siel Cars India, said, “We welcome this move by the government. The reduction in duty will give the necessary boost to consumer demand and fuel growth in the Indian economy. We feel it will also arrest the negative growth in the automobile sector. We are happy to pass on the benefit of the duty reduction to our customers with immediate effect.”

Honda was considering a price increase for Honda cars from January 2009, due  to cost of imports because of the weakening of the rupee against dollar and Yen. While the price increase on all the production models has been postponed for the time being, the CR-V prices will increase by at least Rs 1 lakh with effect from the first week of January 2009.

* Price of newly launched city is cut by Rs 19,000 to Rs21,000

* Price of Civic is reduced by Rs29,000 to Rs31,000

* Price of Accord is reduced by Rs27,000 to Rs28,000

Bajaj Auto cuts prices of XCD,Discover and Pulsar

Following the four wheeler makers, Bajaj Auto has passed on the benefit of the excise reduction in the Cenvat rate reduction to its customers. Bajaj Auto has announced price reduction ranging upto Rs.2100/- on its range of 2-wheelers – XCD, Discover and Pulsar. Bajaj auto has also slashed prices of three wheeler by Rs.4400/- ex-showroom.
